COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Threadless/Finch collaboration IPA is a balanced experience of both perceived hoppiness and true bitterness. It pours a darker amber color and finishes with a citrus flavor, and when combined, will require this to be the last IPA you ever drink! Well, maybe, we realize you will probably drink more, but the result of this recipe clearly evolves into a very balanced IPA. The grain bill on this big pale includes melanoidin and Victory malts. We hop it up before the boil starts with some Columbus first wort hopping, then add a bunch more for bittering.

Pint can. Yeasty and piney. Sweet aftertaste to begin with but quickly becomes bitter.

16oz can from Three Cellars. Pours a yellow-orange with some off-white head. Some lacing. Aroma is a muddled combination of citrus and caramel with some spiciness and floral hops. Taste has very bitter grapefruit rind, lemon, some resin and then carries through with some sweet caramel maltiness back. The distinctness of the very bitter "scrape off your teeth and palate" and then the caramel and sweet also, does not seem to blend well. Finishes very bitter, yet with sweet hints, and lasts a long bitter time. Perhaps this needs to age to mellow the sharpness of the bitter hops - not something I would have ever recommended in an IPA ...

Nice color amber red. Nice spicy hops. A little thin on the palate. Not sure if the carbonation level is right. The malts are outshone by the hops as well. Not well balanced. Good beer not great.

1 Pint can: Aroma has got a big hop note to it. Big on the citrus (grapefruit) and resin notes. Appearance is a clear golden with a hint of amber and a thick off white head that lingers. Taste is pretty good stuff a little too resin like and a bit sticky in the mouth, but all around not that bad at all. Palate is sticky in the mouth and a lingering bitter aftertaste with the slightest amount of grapefruit lingering. Overall, It’s good stuff. I could dink another of these. Cheers!

16 oz can. Pours clear golden with a white head. Spicy hop aroma, grapefruit. Flavors of spicy, grapefruit, pine hops as well, and some slightly stale biscuit. It’s just okay.

Fresh can into a nonic pint. Pours deep gold with a slight white head, moderate lacing. Big grass and citrus aroma, pine, pineapple. Taste is grassy, piney, fruity, assertively bitter with a hit of sticky resin sweetness before finishing dry. My kind of IPA!

A hazy orange, easy drinking IPA with a pleasant, yet not overwhelming hop presence in the aroma and flavor. Slightly sticky mouth feel.

Can. Yet, another IPA. This one is just kind of average. Color was gold. Really not much head for a IPA. Taste was typical except there was a weird after taste yo it. Almost chemical like. Aroma typical.

Orange-amber with frothy white head. Floral, citrus, grapefruit, and sweet / burnt malt aroma notes. Full bodied, creamy texture, mild alcohol notes, and lemon notes. Medium, lasting bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
