3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft to taster. Looks good; a cloudy orange with sticky white lacing. Smells and tastes solid; a blend of citrus and bitter hops with nice balance and a good mouthfeel. A solid example of the style.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft on tap at Tribes Alehouse (Mokena, IL). Saw it on tap and stopped by for one after doing some cellar stuff. Nice. Pours a well hazed orange amber hue, healthy darker glow with a nice strong hazy murk, a bigger offwhite almost eggshell white creamy cakey head, dies to a firm layer, laces pretty well and sticks around as a firm layer. Aromas are a plethora of citrusy lemon and orange, florals and a nice blast of Sorachi Ace on the nose, lemon and lively, moving into grass, a touch of spice and picking up sweeter and toasty malts, biscuits. Some soap, with a vibrant lemony hop appeal and floral staying on, but the malt is still there. Initial is medium bodied, preaching a healthy bite of lemon and florals, strong bitterness as some pine works in, dry florals up front, almost a sharp bitterness as it fades into some soap, creamier malt body shows bread, toast, and biscuits, staying away from bigger sweet malts as that hop bite is potent up front, sharp lemon, pine, florals, and grass. Pretty dry but with a lighter malt body that keeps the hops vibrant. Lacing stays like a wall, coating the glass. Some oranges work their way into the middle, pairing with the malty touches, sustained hops. Finish is citrusy lemon, rind, and dry florals and grass, touches of resinous and dry pine stick to the backend, with some lemon cookies, more grass, touches of bready malts, but the hops override this beer. I wouldn’t say it’s the most complex hop profile, but it is potent. I like this more than the Cut Throat, I can see others liking it more as well. Pretty good, but lacks true complexity to push it up into the upper echelon. Nice beer here by Finch.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Had both on draft at Taphouse/Queensway and out of a can on the same Sunday afternoon. On tap, this appeared golden and hazy with just a thin, sticky head. From the can, it came out ruddy orange and well topped. Makes me question my local taphouse! In both cases, this emits a decent, woody, piney aroma. The beer from the can is much better overall, and drives this rating. A firm, solid mid-American IPA, and easy to drink. More, please. (#5174, 7/21/2013)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks to Pawola22 for sending me this can.
The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma has quite a bit of biscuit malt and the resulting sweetness, as well as some pine and a little bit of orange citrus. The flavor has a lot of toffee and caramel malt in it, with some pine and a hint of grass from the hops. Low to medium bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Atlanta, GA - Taco Mac - Perimeter Center - on tap. Medium gold pour, soft snow white head with generous lacing. Aroma has some light floral accents, a brief hint of spruce. Flavor is full-bodied with some light citrus bitterness, just a touch of malty yeastiness, some caramel sweetness and light spiciness, Very "English" tasting. NIce smooth mouthfeel.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
(16oz can thanks to Mora2000) clearish medium gold, lasting offwhite bubbled head with a ring around the edge. Nose is very fresh, orange pulp, agave, candy sugar, smells fantastic. Taste is a little syrupy, light grapefruit, caramel, bits of candied orange, the linger is pretty floral, well carbonated but medium thick syrupy body.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Fr0m the pint-sized can this p0ured a hazy light amber b0dy with a tw0-fingered ecru head. The ar0ma had s0me bready malt with a d0ll0p 0f caramel c0vered by mild citrus and earthy scents. The taste was h0ppier, tart 0ranges and tangerines giving a sustained bitterness. The bread and caramel flav0rs balanced it all 0ut, perhaps a tad t00 much f0r an IPA. N0t a bad drink and w0rth repeating, which is g00d, since I have three m0re cans.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can. Clouded amber with a short, frothy white head. Strong citrus fruit, floral hops and earthy hops. Taste brings lots of orange out (candied orange, orange juice and orange peel) along with floral hops, sweet malt, orange creamsicle, light caramel and hops oils. Body is medium with a soft, creamy, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more orange notes, orange creamsicle, sweet malt, candied citrus and floral hops.
