COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Threadless/Finch collaboration IPA is a balanced experience of both perceived hoppiness and true bitterness. It pours a darker amber color and finishes with a citrus flavor, and when combined, will require this to be the last IPA you ever drink! Well, maybe, we realize you will probably drink more, but the result of this recipe clearly evolves into a very balanced IPA. The grain bill on this big pale includes melanoidin and Victory malts. We hop it up before the boil starts with some Columbus first wort hopping, then add a bunch more for bittering.

draft, this one was bad, a platic chemical flavor and aroma, overwhelming and cant really taste much else, like cleaning supplies

Pint on tap. Orange-golden with a lasting ring of bubbles. Nose of florals, citrus, caramel and resin. Tastes of caramel, grapefruit, resin and a long finish of wooden bitterness. Light-medium body is watery and sessionable.

Pours cloudy apricot with a fast, tan head. Scent is caramel, orange, peach. Taste is a little sticky citrus peel. Very soft bittering...90 IBU, eh....?...right. A strong dose of fruit juice. Tasty, but average.

can - Pours cloudy yellow with a small off-white, lingering head that laces well. The aroma is of citrus hops and a slight herbal character. The flavor has good bitterness with a little citrus and an earthy note. Itís medium bodied and overall a solid IPA.

On tap at Bangers... Murky honey gold, bright light tope head... Light hops with a musky grass note... The taste is all hops, loses malt but a bit of lemon... Much better than their pale offering, but not much of place on a crowded chicago beer scene

On tap at Sharp Edge Beer Emporium. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet malt, light acetone, citrus, grassy hops. Flavor is sweet with a sharp hops kick in the finish. A little sweet for an IPA. 6/4/6/4/13 (3.3/5)

Draft at Haymarket. Pours a pretty deep, almost copper with a white head. Nose is kind of bland. Some generic citrusy hops and caramel come through. I still donít understand why brewers feel the need to throw a big caramel component into an IPA. Anyway, pretty generic. On taste, it is quite bitter and pretty fruity. More of the caramel notes. Iím just not into this...

Finchs threadless ipa. On tap at Sheffields... Pours a semi- transparent amber reddish brown hue and topped with a creamy barely off-white head... Aroma ... Flavors have a balancing degree of citrusy piney hop focus with what seems to be a crystal malt backend. A bit more focused on more of the malty front when comsumed after a couple of daisy cutters, mind whoever is reading. Medium to somewhat full bodied with an adequate level of carbonation. Itís gowin on me as I have it. Citrus becomes more apparent and pretty drinkable. 7/4/7/3/14
