I was reviewing my ratings and found that I never putted this rating to DB . Bought in Köln in Lidl . Average white head, rather drinkable especially for market beer. Some wheat like notes, not that bad.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 mwesth (279) - Skovlunde, DENMARK - JUL 4, 2004
UPDATED: OCT 1, 2005 Cloudy yellow with fast disappearing head. Aroma: fruit, yeast and wheat. Thin mouthfeel and low carbonation. Good for a discount-beer, when LIdl opens in DK, I guess I will buy this one from time to time..
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 2, 2004
(Canned, 4.7% ABV) Muddy dark yellow / honey color with a big and foamy, slightly lacy head. Very strong, sahti-like banana aroma when pouring, but settles quickly in the glass, revealing some cow dung. Quite sweet and slightly sour banana flavor. Thick, light to medium-bodied palate with foamy carbonation. Sure, it’s not as good as Weihenstephaners or Ayingers - but hey - the price is halved, too! (Yes, 1.59€ per can of hefeweizen is very cheap here in Finland!)
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 TBone (9414) - Pori, FINLAND - JUN 24, 2004
UPDATED: APR 6, 2007 Can, alc. ABV 4.7% (BB 06/2005)
New in Finnish Lidl and the cheapest weizen in Finland!
Typical hefeweizen outlook: orange hazy with good foamy head. Aroma is banana and wheat. Sweet banana flavor and a bit flat for this style but an excellent price/quality ratio. (6/3/6/3/12 3.0)
Re-rated can from Italy, alc. 5.0 % (BB 08/2006)
Pale yellow color, decent white head. Metallic banana aroma. Banana, metal in the flavor (yeast softens). Lemony notes in the aftertaste. Fairly thin. A bit overaged can maybe. (5/3/5/2/10 2.5)
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 caesar (3748) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - APR 25, 2004
Can: Cloudy yellow color, medium head. Aroma of banana, yeast, grains. Quite sweet and yeasty hefeweizen, bit light watery taste. Cheap indeed, but not bad.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 fiulijn (10421) - Como, ITALY - JAN 2, 2004
Can Hazy blond color. Aroma of malt, spices, wheat, lemon. Some characteristics in the taste, but maybe too watery; the final as well.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bierkoning (8109) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - AUG 3, 2003
Can. Lots of banana, somewhat artificial. Just a bit of citrus. Yeasty. Light and inoffensive beer, but absolutely not bad for a cheap (€ 0,30 per 1/2 litre can) weizen.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - OCT 27, 2002
Banana aroma. Honey colour, cloudy, large head, good lace. Light sweet, light citrus, malty, medium body. Strong banana finish. Typical german wheat, not great, not bad.
