Clear light yellow, short lasting white foam head. Barley aroma and taste, fine beer after working in the garden with high outside temperatures. (Velp 201506)

Drank at S&G big pilsener tasting, blindly comparing 24 pilseners. Taste for most pilseners was the same, some grains, bit hoppy, quite malty and mostly bit metallic.

From Lidl. At home. Playing KB Dark Side. Low cost beer with the typical sweetness of bad beers. There worst ones though

can from lidl alcudia, mallorca, spain. No mention of what the brewery is, but the can says "Lidl Stiftunng & Co. KG, Stiftsbergstr. 1 D-74167 necarsulm" also this can is 4.7% not 4.9 - perhaps lidl changed the brewer? the barcode number on the can is 20040123 - a lidl internal number, does not reveal the brewer. clear yellow, large smooth offwhite head.nice slightly aromatic aroma, dry pils malty, really nice aroma. flavor is sweet lager, really nice flavor, but towards the end it gets way too metallic.

Fix Helles (GR) 330ml can purchased (at Lidl) and consumed Greece. Clear amber body looks like apple juice. The good sized head has poor retention. Aroma: earthy hops. Flavor: earthy hops. Mild bitterness. O: worse than most other pilsners.

Pours golden with medium white head. Malts and grass aromas. Light body, fizzy carbonation. Short dry bitter finish. Typicall German industrial lager.

Can .33 from Lidl Portugal. Way to intense hoppy aroma as well as malty and a bit roasted. Fizzy head with good lacing though. Harsh bitter flavor with long finish. Light body and dry texture. Avoid.

Alengrin (3122) - BELGIUM - FEB 19, 2015
Can from a Lidl supermarket, tasted years ago. This was a pale golden blonde standard lager with medium, snow white head; weak aroma, grainy, sourish hint, some grassy hops, minerals. Neutral taste, slight pale malt sweetness, minerally with strongish carbonation and metallic ’touch’ to it, watery finish with a late and brief, medium, grassy hop bitterishness. Very bland, but not off-putting and okay for its style. Serves its purpose as a cheap supermarket ’generic’ kind of lager.

0.5l can. Clear golden color with white head and medium/high carbonation. Aroma of grass, grain and something like apple. Taste is medium bitter, little sweet and sour. Not as bad as the score says.
