Bright cider, made with heirloom and organic dessert apples, blended with the bold citrus tang of organic Cascade hops. Some say it’s like sipping a meadow; some say it’s like chewing on grass. A hopped adventure.

This version is a lot worse than the barrel version. A super pale straw colored pour. Sour, funky, rubbery, artificial flavors. Wonder if this bottle was bad? Other reviews seem to show some bad flavors too. Hmmmm.

Sitting on chair in a shadeless driveway on hot Arizona day after drinking several big stouts it was welcome sight for a cider to make an appearance. Pours light sparkling yellow. nose of apples and hops. tastes of crisp tart apples but not overwhelmingly so, you get some grass, lemon, and hops as well. crisp but a little paper tasting on finish

Pours a clear straw color-almost chardonnay in color. Aroma is apple, citrus and a little funky. Taste is semi-sweet and a little bitter. Thin bodied. Great for Arizona.

dry and tart with a very plasticy flavor. wife described it as "new car taste". needs more apple. hugely disappointing.

500mL bottle, purchased at Whole Foods Petaluma. Pours a pale straw color with a slight amount of haze; still and headless. The aroma’s the best part of this: lightly tart apples, plenty of herbaceous grassiness, and notes of melon and tropical fruit along with the citrus; in this part, the dry-hopping meshes pretty seamlessly with the fruit underneath; digging this. It would be really interesting to serve this to a knowledgeable someone as white wine and hear their take on the outcome: like a hugely forward, lightly tart New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The presentation in the mouth, though, is a bit too acidic and closed: focused on the tart apple note and grassiness, with some modest bitterness; while the aroma is explosive, the taste itself seems tightly wound around that core acidic tartness; is it weird that I’m curious what would happen if I decanted this? Damn cool take overall, with a luscious melon and grassiness throughout. Medium-length finish shows (seemingly) some oak, tart apple notes, with grass and light toastiness; a balanced departure.

Bottle from Whole Foods in Folsom. Pours perry color with a fizzy white head that didn’t last long. Aroma seems apple. Near med body. Flavor is apple with grassy/citrus hop. Not a lot, but enough to make a difference. Vive la différence! Cider should be hopped.

On tap at SIBF 2012. Super pale yellow. Delicate, crisp apple with just a bit of a grassy hop undertone. A bit on the light side, but nice.

Draft at SIBF. This seemed quite popular with folks. Most pale yellow carbonated beverage I’ve ever seen. Tasty crisp dry apple nose. Hop funk, lemon crisp. quite nice

Draft at bar del corso. Pours a crystal clear sparkling medium gold. Light tart green apple nose with floral undertones. Crisp light sparkling body. Interesting tart dry flavor profile showing green apple skin, bit of must from that in a good way, and some light tangy citric and floral qualities. Finishes dry and a bit tart. Quite unlike anything else. A little mystifying, but delicious and refreshing.

Clear light golden color/ fizzy head. Big yellow apple, tart green apple aromas. Light bodied with average co2. Very nice dry tart green apple flavors with maybe a hint of hop twang in there as well--very good cider but not much hop influence
