2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Had it in a New York restaurant (Tipsy Parson). Very standard IPA--nice complexity, nutty, earthy, on the bitter side, amber colored. It was fine to drink but nothing that I would care to have again.

The aroma is great, but everything afterwards is a bit of a letdown. Overall, it's an average beer. I wouldn't get it again.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of hops and fruit with subtle malty notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of citrus. An OK bitter finish. Acceptable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Drank out of a bottle. Aroma is kind of toasted with caramel touches while the aroma is not typically IPA style. Taste of roast and some minor hoppiness. Nice beer but surprised on the IPA etiquette.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours dark copper with offwhite head. Aroma is caramel and toasted malt; really not picking up much hops in the aroma. Taste is sweet - again the caramel malt followed by some slight bitterness. Not nearly the level of hoppiness Iíd expect from an IPA. Nice chewy body with some slickness to the mouthfeel. Tasting blind, Iím not sure I would have even guessed this was an IPA, itís so malt forward. This bottle was given to me and I donít see a date on it, so possibly an old bottle.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
A - Pours a crystal clear amber color with a 1.5 finger tan head. The bubbles hold up for a descent amount of time.
S - Rich crystal malt, pine, herbal hops, doughy yeast, ruby red grapefruit juice.
T - Toasted biscuit, pine and herbal hops rides along the sweet malt and sticks to the teeth and gums. Some bitter lime peel, cranberries, and pecan shell comes out on the finish. The malt carries through but dries out on the finish.
M - Medium to full body, medium to moderate carbonation.
Slightly aggressive malt background but other than that a balanced and straight forward beer.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Effervescent orange beer with a short lived white head. Floral hop nose with something oddly vegital in the back. Highly carbonated. Caramel sweetness with some buttered toast, orange peel, and some berry. Not a big hoppy IPA.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours clear dark orange and copper with a 3-finger foamy orange-tinged head. Aromas of citrus peel and seeds, orange candy, and chalk and berry. The flavor is sweet fruity malt, berry, orange, and mild grassy bitterness. Average.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clearish red coloured body with a copper glow and a one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pale malt, some hop pellets, a bit of alcohol and a hint of hay. Light-bodied; Sharp metallic and slightly perfumey hop notes at first with a good malt backbone, some lighter grass and hay notes and a hint of caramel and toffee at the end. Aftertaste shows some more complexity than I expected, but some decent hops and a good malt backbone - not bad at all, not sublime, but a good beer to try. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Half Time in Poughkeepsie, New York on 26-December-2012 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 29-January-2013.
