COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Using the best American and European malts, Bad Henry India Pale Ale flavors the northwest style with an English twist. Of course cascade and fuggles make the perfect hop balance for this hand crafted IPA. Enjoy!

Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours copper with a foamy 3 finger off-white head. Aroma is floral and light pitted fruits. Med body. Flavor is roasted malt with floral and fruity hop. This seems more APA than IPA at first, but the hop is gaining with time. Rather mellow. Call anything English and I’m a sucker for it. Finishes roasty malt flavor, but not really sweet thanks to the hop. Sort of bitter finish, but floral/fruity rather than citrus/resin.

An amber IPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, nice floral hops, light citrus, smooth malts. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with nice English hops, light harshness, alcohol warmth. Bottle at OBF Fringe Fest Belmont Station, July 30 2011.

Bottle. Dark amber beer with a low dark cream colored head. Grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light summer fruit flavor with light pine and light caramel. Medium bodied. Decent bitterness. Grapefruit and caramel linger.

Bottle:   Fiery amber, moderate frothy off-white head, fairly nice lacing, minimal carbonation.   Fruity nose, pale citrus, soft hop.   Has a bit of powdery sugar in there as well.   Sweet citrusy hops on the tongue.   Not terribly hoppy, seems a bit more than a Pale Ale but not quite an IPA.   Smooth, fairly clean, does finish rather quickly.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Yeah, its like a sweet citrus zest up front, followed by some sweet hop tea.   Tasty, and I bet more interesting on draught.   Would get again, but I would bet that if it were slightly more hoppy with a bit of floral and this thing would be a stunner.

Chill hazed amber color/ lasting beige sheen. Dry spice, pine, caramel aromas. Smooth medium body. Spicy caramel, tea leaf flavors, bitter finish--ok

Braudog (5600) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - JUN 24, 2013
Bottle. Pours a dirty golden hue with an active side and big pile of tight foam on top. The aroma is odd -- hinting at a dirty wash rag out of lemon-scented detergent. That impression carries to the palate, carrying a funky, medicinal flavor that reminds me of really bad European cough drops. (#5068, 6/24/2013 -- not the best way to toast my sweet, departed Lab, Barley, who passed away this morning)

riversideAK (5595) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - SEP 5, 2011
English malt sweetness - toffee and caramel on the nose with peppery spicy hops as well as some fruitiness - orange or marmelade. Pours copper, nice head. Not much lace. The flavor is more toffee and caramel, definite english malts, marmelade, peppery hop bitterness, and some leafy earthiness. Decent carbonation, medium body. Decent.

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Bottle: Pours a pale gold with light white head and lacing. The nose is lightly hoppy with some crisp papery cascade hops and a little bit of the earthy kind I don’t want to name. The flavor is light and balanced, very little malt flavor or toastiness. A little one dimensional but the hops are fresh.
