COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Using the best American and European malts, Bad Henry India Pale Ale flavors the northwest style with an English twist. Of course cascade and fuggles make the perfect hop balance for this hand crafted IPA. Enjoy!

Bomber served in a tulip. Brand new release from Fire Mountain, bottled only a few days ago. Pours dark caramel orange-amber with a med-small tan head. Good color. Little retention or lacing. Aromatic nose is grassy with caramel malt. Medium body, soft carbonation. Sweet malty flavor on the attack then slowly grows bitter, but not overwhelmingly so. Pretty nice really and well balanced. I think Henry’s description and intent is spot on: An English tinge to an Oregon IPA.

Bomber. they call it a NW IPA with an English twist but I’d say it leans more heavily toward the English side. Decent IPA but fairly average.

22 oz bottle from New Seasons - Copper color. A bit of a fruity aroma. Not a bad flavor, but a bit heavy on the malt. Not my favorite by far, but not bad. If I were stuck in the deep south and I was jonesing for an IPA, this one would do.

English malt sweetness - toffee and caramel on the nose with peppery spicy hops as well as some fruitiness - orange or marmelade. Pours copper, nice head. Not much lace. The flavor is more toffee and caramel, definite english malts, marmelade, peppery hop bitterness, and some leafy earthiness. Decent carbonation, medium body. Decent.

An amber IPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, nice floral hops, light citrus, smooth malts. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with nice English hops, light harshness, alcohol warmth. Bottle at OBF Fringe Fest Belmont Station, July 30 2011.

Bottle. Another good workaday IPA, drinkable in the hot weather. Deep orange red with lasting head. Nose is hop citrus, with a cherry note. Light body, light hop flavour with more sweet cherry. Middle of the tongue finish.

Dank hop nose. Minimal head but good carbonation. Hop forward but nice bitterness not overwhelming and solid malt core. Lingering grapefruit finish. N

Bottle:   Fiery amber, moderate frothy off-white head, fairly nice lacing, minimal carbonation.   Fruity nose, pale citrus, soft hop.   Has a bit of powdery sugar in there as well.   Sweet citrusy hops on the tongue.   Not terribly hoppy, seems a bit more than a Pale Ale but not quite an IPA.   Smooth, fairly clean, does finish rather quickly.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Yeah, its like a sweet citrus zest up front, followed by some sweet hop tea.   Tasty, and I bet more interesting on draught.   Would get again, but I would bet that if it were slightly more hoppy with a bit of floral and this thing would be a stunner.
