COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Barrel Aged OTIS spent over 3 months in a Bourbon barrel. It has hints of chocolate, vanilla, coffee and bourbon with a decidedly oaky finish.

Bottle from Steve the brewer, thanks Steve! Nice hit of bourbon in the nose with chocolate and dark malt. Very smooth, nice bourbon hints that don’t overpower the beer. Good chocolate notes in the taste with vanilla and finishes with roasted malt. Great beer, would be over 4 if there was just a bit more body there. Very good stuff!

firmbutt, thanks! Black pour with an off white head. aroma of butter, light vanilla, caramel, and toffee. Flavor adds some chocolate and the bourbon takes a backseat to the rest of the flavors. Dry and oaky, very complex in the finish.

From tap at Rose and Crown. Pours dark brown to black with a chocolate brown and creamy head. Phenolic, dark malty and vegetable. Dark malty, mild smoked, chalky and slight wooden. Slight boozy. Dry malty and alcohol dense finish.

Handbottle courtesy of FirmButtstone! Pours a deep dark browinish blackish color with a espresso swirl head that sticks around for a while. The aroma is roasty malts some vanilla-bourbon-barrel-kind-stuff and lots and lots of cherry tones. The flavor is very toasty and plenty hoppy with the bourbon all very well controlled which is a bit of a surprise as it was very strong in the aroma of the beer. There is a tone of dark chocolate in this beer as well, more dark chocolate than i think I’ve ever tasted in a beer. Damn good stuff.

Bottle shared by bring on BA. Black color with a creamy tan head. Aroma of bourbon, roast, and vanilla. Great complex flavor with bourbon very noticeable but not too strong, with coffee, chocolate, wood, roast, and vanilla. Smooth, medium-full palate. Surprisingly good overall.

Hand bottle shared by FirmButtstone. Poured an opaque black color. the head was creamy and brown with an orange tint. Smelled of vanilla, subdued booze, anise, molasses, and black cherry. Medium to full bodied and slightly sweet with mild roasty bitterness. Vanilla, black cheery, and bourbon flavors also emerged. Not overbourbonated. Nice beer.

Opaque brown with a small tan head, down to a thin film. Quite a bit of bourbon up front with some roast and brown sugar in the back. Flavor continues with the same as the aroma, with bourbon again dominating. Roast, caramel, and vanilla all come out much better in the flavor. The finish is woody and semi-dry, bitterness around a 3. Light carbonation with a full body. Pretty good impy with lots of bourbon, yet not overbourbonated.

On tap @ Bistro BA Fest poured a translucent black with a small lasting brown head. Aromas of cocoa, vanilla, light bourbon and light oak. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of cocoa, vanilla, light carmel, light oak and a hint of bourbon with a smooth malty finish.

Draft at Bistro BA fest. Nice dark pour. Aroma is typical impy stout roasted malt, chocolate, and some wood. Flavor is the same, nice balance and just light barrel aging.
