On tap at the Rose & Crown in Palo Alto. Deep, clear reddish brown color with a nice off-white head. Aroma is rough citrusy and earthy hops, caramel malt, and slight buttery and vegetal notes. Flavor is dominated by intense rough hops - citrusy, piney, and earthy. Also a good amount of caramel malt. A little buttery. Fairly full bodied and mildly syrupy with brutal hop oils that demolish your palate. Somewhat boozy; the 10% ABV makes itself known. Drinkability is not great, as the glass was a bit of a struggle to finish. Decent overall, except for a few minor flaws.

Pours golden orange with a thin cream colored head. Nose and flavor are sweet and malt influenced with dried fruit and an earthy hop profile. Dry finish.
