nearbeer (1199), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA May 30, 2008 Draft @ Lou & Mickeys, San Diego. Copper and clear, with a small head. Aroma is slight caramel malt and resin. Flavor is a good balance of the same, plus some toasted nut. Finish slants a bit more to the resin and citrus hops. Light-medium body is watery and slightly dry. Taverner (432), San Ramon, California, USA Apr 16, 2008 Not a big fan of this at all. Sour in the malt department, almost like weak tea. The hops presented were asprin bitter with no character or floral qualities. ratman197 (2241), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jun 13, 2007 On tap @ Firehouse poured a clear amber with a small lasting white head. Aromas of carmel, light earthiness, light pine and a hint of pink grapefruit. Palate was mediuym bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, grapefruit rind and light pine with a crisp lingering bitter finish. CaptKirk (175), Hephzibah, Georgia, USA May 10, 2007 They happen to have this as a cast on tap. Probably the best pale ale I have enjoyed in quite a while. Lighter copper color then I expected for a pale ale. I believe the cast conditioning really was the way to go. A must if available as a cast condition brew. Odeed (1473), Bakersfield, California, USA Aug 10, 2006 so i had some brew called "firehouse pale ale" tonight in downtown bakersfield.i guess this is it.amber body with a white head.not much aroma to speak of.flavor was mostly caramel malts with a funky aftertaste.needs some hops to balance it out.
