COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crystal malt gives this medium bodied ale its pleasant and refreshing flavor. Cluster and Willamette hops are introduced at various times during the brewing process to provide bitterness and aroma.

On draught at the Firehouse brewpub in downtown Rapid City, South Dakota. Pours a clear coppery amber brew with a creamy off-white head that has a slow dissolve and good lacing. Aroma of semi-sweet caramel malt, a touch of flowery hops and a touch of sweet fruit. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a sweet caramel malt and mild citrus/flowery hops character. Finish is creamy, smooth and malty with a slight mild bitter aftertaste.

Draft. Clear maroon color, thin white head. Aroma of caramel and scotch. Taste is malty and toasty. Not bad.

On tap at the brewpub. Not a bad bet if you’re stuck in Rapid City. Nice red appearance with an off-white head. Aroma is caramel and slightly floral hops, not much to it though. Flavor is caramel malt, mild hoppiness, and slight fruitiness. Pretty standard red ale palate, nothing special there.

Surprise. I expected the Chukkar with its hop profile to be the most flavorful of this bland bunch, but this is actually good. Relatively bold caramel malt and a peppery hop nose that complements the malt well. Best of the bunch.

Tap @ Brewpub: Pours a dark copper/amber color with a modest beige head. Mild nose is fairly sweet. Tastes malty and has some light florals. A little caramel. Sweet fruity yeast pokes through. Not something I’d have again.

Nice amber color,no head to speak of.The armoa was caramely with a mildly sweet side sort of coming through and a decent hop presence. The flavor was pretty good nice malt side some fruit and hops with a decent hoppy finish that is slightly bitter but nicely done.Over all not bad makes me wish there was a place like this in my area so i didn’t have to drive so far.

On tap at brewpub. Deep orange color and clear. A lot of caramel with a bit of floral and perfumy hops. Mostly sweet, very sessionable.

Decent ’red’ ale. Tasted similar to the Barely Blonde ale. Very drinkable on tap at the brewery. Not sure how this would taste bottled, I probably would not buy it often.
