On tap at the brewpub 8/26/05: Nice black hue, unfortunately served in a cold glass. A sweet tinge predominates with an almost raisin tone, but little to no java impressions. Drinkable enough, but this is no stout.

On tap at the brewpub. A black ale with a big white head. Strange enormous carbonation bubbles cling to the sides of the glass. This beer has the carbonation of a Pepsi cola. Absolutely no aroma. How is this possible for a stout? Amazing! Roasted malt flavor, but light on the bittering hops. The flavor is not repulsive, but this is a very light-bodied stout. Very crisp and light for the style. In fact, none of the beers at this brewpub are what one would call representative of the style. I would say that they are representative of beers made by someone who does not know how to make beer.
