2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Last beer sampled at the LA Beer Fest...
Oh man, i was way buzzed by this point, and my palate was shot, but I do remember that it was crisp and refreshing, and not much else.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear golden yellow with the slightest bit of haze, a full bright white head that retained well and left nice lacing. Slight grassy hops and earthiness on the nose, some wheat and hay as well. Flavors mirrored the aroma, featuring bright hoppy notes. Light bodied, very lively carbonation, but misses the soft mouthfeel of a true pilsener. Extra points for the worthy cause.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sampled on 8/13/2010. This blonde ale pours a light to medium orange gold color from a 12 oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is cereal, grainy, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied blonde ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are floral. Sweet and fruity, with a touch of honey. Decent carbonation. Its smack dab in the middle of the BJCP guidelines for a blonde ale though. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very light malty/corn aroma coming off a clear yellow body with a foamy white head. Thereís some clean biscuit malt flavor but thatís about it. Iím sure there are some hops in here but theyíre very light and not the crisp hops of a true Pilsner. Everything about this is light through to the end. While itís not the most exciting beer, thereís nothing offensive about it either. A very easy drinking lawnmower beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pour is a cloudy yellow with an average white head. Aroma is a dry malt and a minor lemon. Flavor is more dry pils malt with a little bittnerness toward the end. Not great but wouldenít turn it down if it was free.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Part of a mixed 6-pack at Albertsons in Vegas. Slight skunk at first pour, but I am ok with this. Becomes grainy after breathing, with mild honey notes. Very slight hazy golden colour with a white head and good sticky lace. Hints of peaches come out eventually in the nose. Kind of creamy mouthfeel. The taste is where it stops being good. Not bad, but the grain seems a little off with the flavours blending with the pils hops. Too bad, as this one started much better.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium to dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with notes of lime/lemon zest.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
In a blind tasting I would swear this is an American Wheat. Itís tart and lemon-limey. The label almost doesnít even commit to what it is..."blonde beer" says nothing at all, although the current label says "Pilsner Lager" where it used to say "Extinguish Your Thirst". So, maybe itís really a lager, maybe it isnít. Either way itís inoffensive but bland and simple. The funniest thing is they forgot the apostrophe in the ***name of the company***. It makes me smile to imagine how many people this must have slipped past during the process of creating the company and its marketing materials. Itís certainly possible they intentionally left it off because they thought the character would somehow impair the flow of the gorgeous blocky all-caps font they used for the word "firemans". And the name is kinda sexist, thatís cool too...Firefighterís Brew sounds stupid, right? This beer is for MEN, dammit. I also just noticed the background says "The Original". Whew, thatís a relief...thankfully Iím not drinking some imitation fireperson companyís product. All right, all right, Iíll stop being a jerk-off, the company supposedly donates an (unspecified) portion to charity, but come on, this is just so gimmicky. It begs to be teased.
