COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditionally styled Doublebock with rich structure, bold flavors and silky smooth finish. Handcrafted with a heavy dose of toasted chocolate malts to create a refined microbrew of uncompromised quality.

Bottled. Stupid name for a DB. Pours dark brown, slightly tan medium head. Malts tasted a bit too cooked, sweetness. A tolerable DB, nothing more.

Out of the bottle. Aroma is a nice, dark bread and cocoa. Rich malt. Dark brown with a beige head that leaves a collar. Flavor is husky malt and slightly syrupy. Flavor leaves quickly with only a sweetness remaining. Lacks the complexity of a good DB, but tolerable.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a tan head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma notes of chocolate with dark bread and a hint of roasted malts. Flavor has a chalky chocolate flavor with a bit of roasted malts and earthy grains.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2014 Decent doppelbock, on tap at the Los Angeles Beer Festival 2014, dark brown with a large tan head. Smells rich and coffee. Medium body, malty finish.

Pours a reddish dark brown. One finger of tan head. Aroma is malty caramel and slight dark fruits. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

This pours an extremely dark mahogany body, nearly opaque, with a slender yet sustained tan head. Sheets of slippery lace are left on the sides of the glass when drinking. It has an aroma of root beer, burnt dark brown sugar, and a whiff of alcohol. The flavor is more of a bittersweet chocolate, somewhat earthy, with a quiet dark sugar sweetness. The alcohol is absent from the taste. The finish is rather abrupt, but it left me with a stickiness on my lips and facial hair. Sloppy drinker, I guess.

Bottle at my house. Pours dark brown with tan head. Nose and taste of cooked malt, earth, light fruit and cocoa. Lighter medium body.

Pours almost black, thin off-white head. Nose is malty, notes of chocolate. Taste is sweet, but a little hop bite comes through. Medium body, lively carbonation. Nice brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My second favorite of the trio currently offered. This double bock pours brown/black and has a nice malty aroma. Lighter than a traditional dopple this would make a good introductory beer to the world of German style beers.

Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. Dark brown, tan head, no lace. Sweet brown sugar malts, nearing syrupy proportions. Sugary sweet but lacking complexity and hearty malt structure.
