A smooth, rich red ale without the bite (5.5% alcohol). This 3-time gold medal winner is a combination of 5 different styles of malts, and several different Yakima Valley hops. The use of ""crystal malt"" in the brewing process imparts a rich caramel flavor. This combination creates a flavor packed red ale like you’ve never had before!

355ml bottle. Dark brown/red ale. Pretty flat mouthfeel, slightly ashy and bitter, caramel malts. Nothing to behold.

Ok. Decent flavor but nothing to write home about. Easy drinking but really uneventful.

I never expect anything special from this style (Amber Ale), but I have an open mind (read "loose"), so I’ll give it my fairest shot. It pours a dark amber/brown body with a modest tan head. The aroma is sweet and caramelly with a touch of floral notes. The flavor is more of a dirty caramel/toffee taste, a touch of pome fruit, and a solid earthy bitterness. It won’t be a "go to" beer for me, but it’s an okay drink.

When I see something sort of gimmicky that is pretty clearly contract brewed, my hope is always simply that the beer is not outright terrible. In this case, my humble dream came true and I am that much better of a person due to the leap of faith I took when buying this. Truly, this beer is OK. It is actually really nice looking, w/ a creamy head that sits upon clear, red brown liquid. This is a malt-forward brew to be sure, more simply sweet than having a real depth to the malt character but pleasant nonetheless. I get a bit of toffee and raisin mostly. It is a bit thin on the palate despite the sweetness and is maybe just a touch watery. There is a slight and unfortunate metallic note that you just barely notice and it finishes light and quick, almost to the point of being watery. This is definitely not going to turn any heads even for stalwart fans of lighter craft styles but is at least generally inoffensive. I doubt I will buy this again but if someone left it in my fridge, I’d probably finish off the six pack eventually.

Reddish-brown pour. Faint malt in the nose. Sweet. A bit thin. Lively carbonation. Quite drinkable, but a bit bland. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a half finger of head on a clear, but dark red colored body. The aroma is a nice wet grain smell. The taste is big on the malt side, though not too sweet. There’s some caramel and mild lemon bitterness. Nicely balanced. The texture is smooth with moderate carbonation. It’s a easy drinking brew.

Bottle. Pours a deep red with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has bread and caramel with some light fruits and a bit of sweet grains. Flavor has a bit of light fruit with sweet grains and a bit of earthiness.

12 oz bottle from Tipsy’s. Amber reddish and clear appearance with an average light tan head. Mild aroma of caramel, toffee and light earthy hops. Similar flavor, medium sweetness and light bitterness. Average body, creamy and smooth with soft carbonation, easy to drink. Pretty simple, straight forward amber ale.

12oz bottle. Very underwhelming. Pretty but not nearly as delicious. I’d give it a skip.
