4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thanks to hoppymeal for sharing this beauty. Pours a nice mahogany with small off-white head. Aroma strong of alcohol, bourbon, dark dried fruit, and slight hops. Taste matches well with the addition of toasted malt and slight sweetness. Very nice.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle, thnx to NorCalGrowler, shared with friends. Pours a pitch black beer with a small beige head that settles into a small ring. Looks very daunting. Aroma is madeira, port, caramel, fudge and vanilla. Some oak characters still lingering on in the background, but the port and madeira are taking over the palate in a good way. Flavor is incredibly sweet and has again a big load of madeira in there. Some bourbon and oak flavors in the background again, but you can definitely tell that this beer has age on it, and it has aged very well. Very complex and balanced and a true treat to drink this stuff. Amazing!

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured a clear dark brown with a reddish hue and a light frothy head. The aroma is big creamy caramel fudge roasted malt alcohol. The flavour is strong bitter with a smooth boozy alcohol bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation and an oily texture. This is a super smooth, flavour packed whale of a beer where the higher ABV really adds to this beer which isn’t always the case. Taste it if you can and i’m sorry for you you guys that can’t.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2013 750ml bottle (Snow@ChrisO)
Syruppy sweet aroma and taste. There’s some mintiness to the aroma too, and it presses my hedonism button. I wouldn’t normally like a sugar-bomb like this, but they just about got away with it.

Bottle. rare opportunity at STL bbbb, thanks for the pour!. Color is clear brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malt and clear oxidation with a little brown sugar. Flavor is also loaded with oxidation and a light amount of caramel malt and faint fruits. This is way past prime but still glad to have tried it!

Bottle at ChrisO Snow Tasting, thanks to Jan. It pours deep brown with a small bubbly off-white head. The nose is caramel, wood, bourbon, vanilla, toasted coconut and fudge. The taste is roasted malt, wood, caramel, coffee grinds, light astringency, leather, dark fruit, milk chocolate, fudge, bourbon and some alcohol warmth with a dry, oaky finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Smooth and mellow. A bit oxidised perhaps, but enjoyable nonetheless.
