Tap. Even the great FW had to do one, it seems. Pale yellow gold pour with a minor head. Soft sweet grains, somewhat buttery. Not a fan of this.

Pint at the ale house in la jolla. Ok. Little head. A bit largely. Refreshing on a hot day but pretty boring.

Damn solid. Big puffy head that dies down. Blond in color. Sweet, bitter, fresh smell. Taste follows, long bitter aftertaste is nice

Tap @ Aloha Restaurant, Ventura. Orange amber, good head. Mild cereal aroma. Grain hop flavour. Sharp with bitter aftertaste. A bit bland. Don’t think this is Firestone Walkers best style of beer.

Nice golden pour with nearly no head. Malty arome. Taste of malts, honey, something lemoney. Low bitterness. A cassic golden ale, a style that never amazes me.

Pours a golden color. Crisp and smooth with some slight fruit hop notes, grain. Easy drinking. Nice carbonation. A good summer beer.

Bottle in LA. Easy drinking ale, hint of hop aroma. When pale lagers are the alternative this is better.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz. bottle from a San Diego-based retailer that sells online and whose name escapes me. Pours a surprisingly dark shade for a golden/blonde ale - kind of a rich-hued orange-gold with a large off-white head that settles into a thin lasting cap and leaves a few small ropes and spots of lace. Aroma of soap, florals, straw, wheat, and dry, grainy malts. Flavor of bready and somewhat sweet malts, straw, apple, light soap and florals. Light-bodied, with modest carbonation and a smooth, dry, malty mouthfeel. Not what I expected for the style, and not much to it, but it’s not bad.
