2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I had this beer on tap. It’s a golden pour, very mild in flavor, a good hot weather or lawnmower beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap, poured into a shaker. The aroma is a sweet honey, bread, citrus, and cereal combination. It pours an oily, clear, yellow orange, with a light, soapy white head. It leaves a runny, light, microbubble sheet late - only traces are left behind. It retsins a medium thin ring and a light, wispy surface. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter. It’s an oily, thin beer with a fizzy carbonation and medium light body. It’s crisp and clean with a cereal and spice finish. There?s a bit of corn as it warms. It has a light cereal and honey aftertaste

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a light golden color with a one finger pure white head. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is light overall with it consisting mainly of a bready aroma. Along with the bread are some lighter hints of caramel and a bit of a grassy and citrus smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a lighter bready flavor. Along with this taste are also some very light flavors of honey and caramel. As the flavor advances, hops start coming to the tongue with flavors of a grassy and floral nature. These hop remain rather light throughout the taste, and with the light sweeter honey fading ever so slightly and the bready flavors remaining the same, one is left with a somewhat crisp and overall light flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is light and thin with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. Both the lighter body and higher carbonation are decent for the crisper and lighter flavors of the brew and make this one very easy drinking.
Overall – Nothing really too outstanding here. It’s refreshing, but a bit lacking in the flavor department.

"Pretty nice lawn mower beer. A honey type sweetness & a slight floral hop presence is really about all that is goin on, but it works as a session ale. Pleasant and refreshing."

January 17th, 2013 - A Firestone Walker beer that doesn’t jive with my taste buds?! Weird, but true, and too bad, too. The 805 is all over Central California, and I’d guess Northern California too, and it’s always nice to have a beer in mind that you like and can get almost anywhere. It’s an emergency poncho for drinking. When your friends go into the sad, drizzling rain that is a bad liquor-based dive bar, you want something sudsy you can lean on. But I’m not sure the 805 is it. The flavor is like a basic amber brew, and a bit fruiter, but like a discordant chord it’s strange, and hard to get used to. Each sip is mildly alarming, and I can never quite solve the mystery of why.
