It’s not a unique idea, but one that everyone on the Central Coast understands… Call something “805” and it means local. As a regional craft brewer we have always known that the closer the beer is to where it was brewed, the fresher it is. In fact since 1996 our brewery has been built on fresh, local beers for the Central Coast…. so we created a beer just for our locals in the “805”.

Hope you like it… FW

Unique, very drinkable beer. Moderate and soft hoppy and a mild malty, slightly sweet flavor.

On tap at Grillin & Chillin Alehouse, Hollister, CA. A clear light amber golden ale with a short lived white head. Aroma is light fruity, cereal. Flavor is fruity (lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, tart berries). Finish is tart and fruity. Light to medium body, average to strong carbonation.

Pours clear golden with a nice eggshell head. Aroma offers malty, fruity, and subtle hoppy tones. Flavor features malty and fruity notes with a hoppy underpinning. Body and fizz are both typical but serviceable. Enjoy!

Bottle. Pours a golden color with a nice head and bit of lacing. Aroma of fresh grain, hint of malt sweetness and bit of light fruit. Taste of mild male sweetness, grain with trace of fruit. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly light body, crisp, clean and refreshing. Has a nice fresh feel. Nice beer for the style.

On tap at the Double Barrel Roadhouse in Las Vegas, dispensed to a shaker showing a clear & bright, golden color, frothy, soft white head foam, and clingy dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was soft grain/wheat, with a honey sweetness to the malt. Medium bodied, and lively carbonated, with a modest amount of earthy bitterness for some contrast. Crushable summer faire, fit the party atmosphere,...and heat!

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

16 fl oz can bought in a BevMo in Santa Maria, CA for 1.99 $. Clear dark golden in the glass, small white head. Not a lot on the nose, maybe a little bit like peach. Taste starts with sweet fruity bisuit, less malty, hints of grain in the middle part. Low fruity aftertaste. Average but okay.
