COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s not a unique idea, but one that everyone on the Central Coast understands… Call something “805” and it means local. As a regional craft brewer we have always known that the closer the beer is to where it was brewed, the fresher it is. In fact since 1996 our brewery has been built on fresh, local beers for the Central Coast…. so we created a beer just for our locals in the “805”.

Hope you like it… FW

Unique, very drinkable beer. Moderate and soft hoppy and a mild malty, slightly sweet flavor.

Hmm. I’m def far out side the 805, so the were a module loose with their trader joes distribution. Heavy on malt and malt flavor. Just enough hops for the boil. BTW looked like an energy drink in the fridge FWIW. solid meeh

Pours a clear gold with a foamy head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Spots of lace around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, honey, and some vegetal aromas. Taste is about the same. There is a mild bitterness to it. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a decent beer.

Aroma is fruity/bubblegum, which is a surprise. But otherwise just an OK lager-ish beer. Light amber, some sweetness/cereal. Fine but mild. Not the best from FW, but not bad.

Bottle. Light caramel aroma with some apricot and floral hops. Clear ruddy copper under a persistent white sheet. Sweet light caramel flavour with some light spicy melanoidins and subtle stone fruit notes. Medium body, moderate carbonation, smooth.

On tap at the Taproom, Paso Robles. Golden color with small white ring. Arona is grainy, mild fruit, yeasty, some exotic fruit. Taste is sweet grains, a little bit spicy, just a solid golden ale. Okay!

355ml bottle at home. Clear golden with small white soapy head with low retention. Low to medium body with ditto carbonation. Subtle sweet and bitter tones. Grain, yeast and some herbs. An ok refreshing ale.

12oz can. Lite amber with small ring of lace. Lite malty mix with hops. Taste is a refreshing mild fruit. Has a grainy finish. The palate is medium. Nothing stands out. Its ok.

Bottle at Bills. Pours a light body with white lacing. Mouthfeel is light and thin with notes of urine/cat piss, spice, grain, shampoo and additional off-flavors. Probably my least favorite beer from FW.

Tap at Sandbar in Santa Barbara. Fluted pint glass. Lighter golden color. Minimal head. Mild grain aroma. Taste follows suit. Simple to drink. Refreshing. Cereal and grains. Mild hops but no real bitterness. I could see this as a reliable go to option if Cali was home.
