COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A British Pale Ale never tasted so fresh. We challenge our good friends across the pond to match this one. Can’t be done. We’ve honored the traditions of the great British Pale brewers of Burton-on-Trent using our patented Firestone Union oak barrels. You’re left with a mild blend of vanilla and toasted oak flavor touched with an elegant hint of English noble hops. DBA is the flagship of our company and wildly popular

Appearance: Copper with a small light brown head. Aroma: Toffee and topical fruits - mango. Flavor: Caramel malt with a little roasted grain note and mild hop bitterness. Palate: Medium bodied, medium carbonation and a crisp finish. Overall: Nice ESB, would prefer a bit more malt complexity.

Aroma light with hops and a touch of oak. Copper amber color, moderately clear. Taste is very smooth, medium malt and touch of caramel/vanilla. Hops are present but not overpowering. Neat flavors but a little thin on the finish.

Bomber - Pours clear rosy amber with a thin bubbly off-white head. Nose is toasted bread, biscuits, vanilla, and a bit of nuttiness. Taste is more of the same--lots of nutty breadiness that’s cut by the subtle vanilla sweetness. Not much hoppiness to speak of. Finishes with the vanilla malt note that hangs around until the nuttiness takes over. Fluffy and soft in the mouth. Solid beer, and nice that it’s both affordable and 5%.

On tap in a pint glass. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head with some lacing. Aroma is slightly grainy. A slight bite on the front with a nutty finish. Some toasted and sweet caramel hints. Average carbonation with a clean finish. Very sessionable and clean ESB.

Bottle. Pours an amazingly lambent red-gold-brown with a high head -- this is just pretty beer. Nose is subtle, with floral and hard cheese overtones; it seems to open up more as time goes by. Definite toast and caramel on the front of the palate, with very light carbonation -- moves more into a roasted fruit and oolong tea on the back of the palate. The vanilla is more in the finish. Damn, that’s nice.

Bottle. Drom notes. I originally thought this was an ipa when i drank it and rated it accordingly. Ill re-rate when i try it again. Light grape-citrus and light caramel. Drinkable, but nothing special. I expected more drom these guys.

Deep orange pale ale color under an off-white head. Fresh hop smell, slight green hop, if I’m not mistaken. Malty taste, but with more resiny hop right behind it. Overall hoppiness probably dissuades it from comparison with an English Pale, though trying to pick out the oak from the Burton system is tough with this much hop involved. Very fresh considering it’s dates 12/21/12.
