COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A British Pale Ale never tasted so fresh. We challenge our good friends across the pond to match this one. Can’t be done. We’ve honored the traditions of the great British Pale brewers of Burton-on-Trent using our patented Firestone Union oak barrels. You’re left with a mild blend of vanilla and toasted oak flavor touched with an elegant hint of English noble hops. DBA is the flagship of our company and wildly popular

Pours a darker amber color with off-white head. Vanilla, oak, and caramel malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Just average, I didn’t find anything real great about this offering.

Very malty nose. Taste is crisp, bitter, a little musty. Body is light to medium with a bit of slickness and fizziness.

Honey, cracker, shortbread and vanilla come out in the aroma. The taste is soft and sweet. The honey and sweetness of the malt shine through, and a little woodsy flavor follows up. This is an excellent session and I can see myself drinking plenty of pints of this.

Bottle from QClub at Shaz's. Aroma very malty. Taste too - maltier than expected for ESB. Dry bitter finish. Not bad.

Pours an ambery copper color. Smell is slightly fruity and subtly malty with caramel like sweetness. Very subtle nose, but nice. Taste is quite nice. Smooth creamy bittersweet fruity caramel. Light hops in the finish to keep it from being too sweet. Nicely balanced with some definite slight vanilla flavor. Subtle fruit and vanilla, dry caramel and balancing bittering hops. Very, very drinkable and flavorful. Fantastic ESB. Medium body and carbonation. One of the best ESBs, at least readily available, out there.

Bottle. Pours amber/reddish with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is faint caramel, sweet malt, bread and some hops. Taste is caramel malt, bread and balanced bitter finish. Nothing fancy, but good enough.

Pretty decent for what it is but not a mind blowing style. Some light citrus. The barrels don’t taste too strong, which is good for an ESB because thye shouldn’t. Pours orange with decent head and lacing. Tap takeover at Churchkey.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle stamped 03/17/14. Just over a month old from this review. The pour is copper amber with a modest off-white head that never quite disappears. The aroma is of sweet roasted caramel malts and a mild hop bite. Light to medium body. The caramel malts really kick in on the flavor with a clean and slightly bitter ending. Easy drinking. I would prefer an ESB from the UK but this isn’t half bad.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear dark amber with a thin beige top. Taste of caramel malts, bread and subtle hop bitterness. Medium carbonation, medium body.

On tap at Firestone. Appearance: white filmy head, copper color, clear. Aroma: wheat, malty, light orange, caramel. Palate: light body, soft carbonation, sticky texture. Taste: soft sweetness with light bitter ending. Overall, nothing special, but well done.
