4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled March 19, 2015.
Glass: Carton teku.
Appearance: Deep orange/copper hue with great clarity and a sparkling body. The head is light tan and very creamy looking.
Aroma: The aroma is mild, lightly floral with mild vanilla and caramel aromas hints of dark fruits and faint cocoa.
Taste: A bit malty leaning with a mild hop presence. Flavors of caramel and mild syrupy cherry are noted along light vanilla, toast and biscuit flavors. I get a light foral hop presence.
Palate: Medium bodied, sharp carbonation.
Overall: What a great beer! I really love the balance and complexity here. Super drinkable, I’m glad this is in NJ now.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Decent mildly bitter aroma. Corn and cereal flavor with a funky, slightly metallic finish. I like ESBs, but this is average at best.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
British pale with some light tan malts. Surprising nice mouthfeel made this like a martzen. Added hops finished this perfectly.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap pour into 20 oz glass at Meddlesome Moth in Dallas. Amber color with white lacing that sticks around for the consumption party. Aroma is a mild malty with some cereal elements. Taste also rocks the malt with bitterness coming through but not all that aggressively. Cereal and bready. Feels almost earthy like it could have been served warm...though that would have sucked. Drinkable but pretty forgettable.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught at yard house. Clear copper. Aroma of cereal, metallic malt. Taste is sweet. Palate is abysmal. This isn't at all firestone, so I'm pretty sure this is old beer, which wouldn't surprise me from a place like this (100+ taps). My rating is based on these notes. I will revisit & revise.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light aroma of toffee. The taste is bitter, caramel and malty. Okay bitterness that fills the mouth a weak moment. Good beer anyway. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
I really don’t get much of a barrel aged note in the aroma. Kinda more of that English hop, malt bill. The flavor does bring out a crisp wood character, but not what I was expecting at all. Very subtle, if at all. Mostly typical ESP flavor.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Sample bought as part of a Costco pack. Air of malt aroma but not much else no aroma defects. Taste balance is off. Oxidation most likely. Firestone knows what they are doing so I will reevaluate with another bottle.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear beautiful amber copper with one finger of off white head. Aroma was malty and some pine. Flavor had some malt and was earthy and grassy. Wanted malt sweetness and toffee but tasted earthy and dirty. Not unpleasant but not great.
