A British Pale Ale never tasted so fresh. We challenge our good friends across the pond to match this one. Can’t be done. We’ve honored the traditions of the great British Pale brewers of Burton-on-Trent using our patented Firestone Union oak barrels. You’re left with a mild blend of vanilla and toasted oak flavor touched with an elegant hint of English noble hops. DBA is the flagship of our company and wildly popular

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2016 Bottle pour into pint glass from The Drinkery, Londonderry, NH. Aroma is yeasty dough over bready malt, caramel, vanilla--a little unfinished smelling (like wert). Appearance is hazy orange-brown with less than finger-width head, decent sparkle and lacing. Taste is caramel, bready moderate sweetness with tinge of oak. Palate is medium bodied with smooth texture and carbonation slightly on the lively side. Finish is sweet with a bit of oakiness. Overall, a decent beer. A bit on the old side so may not be the best rating.

Aroma: roasty bitter; Appearance: clear amber with off white head that dissipates quickly but leaves behind lovely lacing; Taste: smoothly bitter but not incredibly distinctive; Palate: medium body with average carbonation, slightly bitter finish; Overall: very drinkable, smooth, lacks personality but would try again

Big bottle at home. Slightly cloudy amber colour, offwhite stable, foamy head. Easily drinkable, malty toffee and caramel, soft vanilla, oaky notes, some dry bitterness in the finish. Medium body, low carbonation.

Dark amber colour with quickly fading head. Not much on the nose but what there is, is lager-esque. Smooth mouthfeel with subtle flavours of plums, bourbon with a little lime. Date on the bottle is 17/01/15 (bottling date?) so it is likely this has suffered the journey & time. Disappointing as I was expecting more. Rated by BrewTom

Kopparfärgad öl med bubbligt skum. Doften är maltig, med inslag av rostat bröd och trä. Samma återkommer i smaken tillsammans med en balanserad beska.

Nice toasted aromas and oak with a strong ESB profile of complex aromatics and depth of flavor.

Bottle in LA. Oops, thought this was a double IPA! Pours clear amber with lasting white head. Hop bitterness and malt finish (in that order - odd). Aroma and flavour and pretty subtle. Carbonation a little high for an ESB. Not amazing but still not a bad simple session ale.
