COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A British Pale Ale never tasted so fresh. We challenge our good friends across the pond to match this one. Can’t be done. We’ve honored the traditions of the great British Pale brewers of Burton-on-Trent using our patented Firestone Union oak barrels. You’re left with a mild blend of vanilla and toasted oak flavor touched with an elegant hint of English noble hops. DBA is the flagship of our company and wildly popular

Bright copper color. Sweet, spicey and basement aroma. Smooth, sweet flavor with a nice dose of oak. Well balanced toffee malt, spicey hops and dry wood. Very quaffable.

I really don’t get much of a barrel aged note in the aroma. Kinda more of that English hop, malt bill. The flavor does bring out a crisp wood character, but not what I was expecting at all. Very subtle, if at all. Mostly typical ESP flavor.

Sample bought as part of a Costco pack. Air of malt aroma but not much else no aroma defects. Taste balance is off. Oxidation most likely. Firestone knows what they are doing so I will reevaluate with another bottle.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear beautiful amber copper with one finger of off white head. Aroma was malty and some pine. Flavor had some malt and was earthy and grassy. Wanted malt sweetness and toffee but tasted earthy and dirty. Not unpleasant but not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught. Rich amber color with very small off white foamy head, slight caramel aroma, low carbonation, roasted malt taste, thin body, abrupt finish, More like a bitter than an ESB.

12oz bottle. Pours a light amber with a thin off white head. Not so sure about this one. Easy drinking enough but not real exciting. Sweet malt and fruit notes. It’s alright but was expecting something better from Firestone.

Found at Tony Roma’s across from Disneyland. Obviously I expected more from this despite not having a clue what the style was going in cuz the staff had no idea. Was pretty plain. Light fruit and a bit of citrus, hearty bread, quite carbonated, very mellow. I think the food off the kids menu we had at the table was more interesting.

From bottle. Nice head on amber body with modest aroma. Rich, complex taste with nice notes from the oak. An enjoyable twist on an ESB.

This is a nice English Style Ale for the MSRP of $5 with a nice malty taste.

Pours a medium hold with a white head and lacing. It has a nice aroma of pale malt and some piney hops. The flavor is malt up front with a slightly bitter backbone and balanced finish over a medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Gott’s Roadside in Palo Alto, CA. Aroma is oaky malts. Taste is dark breads, caramel, slight herbal cola. Creamy and drinkable but nothing too noteworthy here.
