A British Pale Ale never tasted so fresh. We challenge our good friends across the pond to match this one. Can’t be done. We’ve honored the traditions of the great British Pale brewers of Burton-on-Trent using our patented Firestone Union oak barrels. You’re left with a mild blend of vanilla and toasted oak flavor touched with an elegant hint of English noble hops. DBA is the flagship of our company and wildly popular

22 oz procured from Let’s Pour. Pours a clear amber with a medium off white head. Smell is crisp grain, fruity, minerals, caramel. Taste is crisp malts, nutty, earthy hops, toasted breads, faints fruits. Not complex in the least but enjoyable and welcomed low ABV brew.

12 oz bottle from BOTW, served cool in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear deep copper with a decent light tan head. Aroma: British maltiness with some butterscotch, toasty malts, a little caramel/toffee, creme caramel, a little woodsy/floral hops. Palate: Medium body and moderate carbonation. Flav.: Stark/dry British malts, toffee notes, diacetyl, woodsy hops; dry with moderate bitterness and a buttery, British malt finish.

Fairly competent.

Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate oak, toasted caramel, biscuits, grass, faint citrus, and orange peel. It pours a transparent copper with a two finger off-white head that eventually fades to a thick film. There is some soapy webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate toffee and caramel. There is a pretty solid biscuit presence in the middle. The finish has light citrus, grass, toasted oak, and barely a touch of vanilla. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel. Overall, it’s a solid ESB, but it’s simply a style that doesn’t do much for me.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2014 12 oz. bottle from BevMo. On the nose sort of nutty and roasty. The aroma carries through to the taste. No flowery hops or bitterness here. Just a pleasant toasty, earthy, caramel flavor on a pleasing malt base. Mild, just like it says. I found this to be a super drinkable brown ale that I would gladly have again. Love the 5% ABV.

Flaska från Ralphs LA. Bärnstensfärgad med vitt skum. Tråkig doft åt det kemiska hållet. Smaken är söt med lite beska.

I poured this ale from the bottle into my trusty Samuel Adams glass, producing a clear, dark amber body topped by a quickly diminishing head of foam with light lacing. A pleasant floral aroma with notes of vanilla and bread was present. Mouthfeel is moderate to light, with a dry, crisp finish. This ale has a decent balance, bittersweet, ending with a crispness. This ale drinks quickly, and would go well some nice smoky barbecue.

A far superior beer to their 805, this is a nice pale ale that has a really smooth finish and not overly hoppy. Pleasant aroma that poured with a very light head that disappeared almost immediately. Poured from 22 oz bottle. Would buy again.

Keg at The Hanging Bat. Clear amber body with a thin off-white head that gradually fades. Lively carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of tea, crisp red apple and autumn leaves. Flavour of caramel, earth, underripe pear and lightly roasted malts. Thin body with a light, oily texture. Fizzy. A crisp, tasty Bitter.
