Aroma= Light smooth hoppines with touches of carmel and ever soft touch of wood. An easy but complex nose
Appearence= Dark copper/ amber, med-low head retention not too carbonated
Flavor= hops up front then moving to carmel sweet to a medium roast quality that lingers non-offensivly into finish, touch of darker caramel
Palate= Medium body
Overall= Nice complexity and dimensions with this beer. Really nice, good flavor

Bottle, pours rust-colored, off-white head with good lacing. Fairly clear. Nose is citrus marmalade, a little vanilla, touch of almond, oak. British hop back. Biscuits, caramel malts, earthy hops. Slightly bitter, somewhat dry. Great ESB.

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours deep amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and nutty malts, some floral hops, a little bit of dough, and hints of oak. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent beer, but just a little bland.

Pours clear amber color with white head. Malt and fruity citrus hop aroma. Biscuity caramel malt start with a fruity citrus hop flavor. I hate this phrase but It this is a very drinkable beer.

12oz bottle from Georgio’s, Billerica, MA. An amber pour with a tight cream head; aroma of toasted malts; in the mouth they seem quite burnt, and there’s a dry vanilla oak undercurrent; the finish is dry, and warming with a pleasant balance between the malts and the hops. I wouldn’t say this was a typical Burton premium bitter, but it’s not bad.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a moderate off-white head on it. Nose has some slight caramel notes to it, with a little bit of toast mixed in. Taste is slightly sweet up front to me, then finishes a tad bitter. Fine, but entirely forgettable to me.

Underlying honey flavor, with some floral hops over it. Herbal notes as well. Not my favorite, but certainly drinkable. Probably better in warmer weather than frigid 2014 winter in Philadelphia.

Cereal grain and light hop aroma. Clear copper with a film head. Bitter start and long, woody sweet nalt finish. Plush, quaffable body. Us easterners will be surprised how mellow this heavy duty brewer can be.
