COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A British Pale Ale never tasted so fresh. We challenge our good friends across the pond to match this one. Canít be done. Weíve honored the traditions of the great British Pale brewers of Burton-on-Trent using our patented Firestone Union oak barrels. Youíre left with a mild blend of vanilla and toasted oak flavor touched with an elegant hint of English noble hops. DBA is the flagship of our company and wildly popular

Bottle says 06/05/14 so itís 3 months old? Not too happy about that. Appearance: Awesome transparency in this dark bronze beer with notes of red-orange in the light. Thin eggshell white head that fades to a ring. Spotted lacing. Aroma: Not much here. A faint caramel scent but pretty dead in the aroma department. Taste: Light bread crust and a touch of caramel. A slight hoppy tinge of spice. Clean beer. No bitterness to speak of. Palate: It is very light with low carbonation which is good, but it could be smoother. Overall: Itís a pretty good beer but it is rather nondescript. I did enjoy the beer but it felt very held back. It probably isnít a beer I would look for again unless it was fresh from a keg.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small white creamy lasting head that leaves great lacing. Weak aroma of vanilla and grass. Lightly bitter, light body, thin feel, average to lively carbonation with big bubbles and a brief bitter finish. Not a lot of flavor.

nose: grain, dry grass, earthy hops, toffee. palate: same as the nose but earthier. very dry. the oak is fairly present in tannin and a lick of vanilla. the hops add an herbal, tinyly bitter aftertaste. seems timid but otherwise not bad. my only complaint is the mouthfeel which feels very thin.

Scipio (701) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - SEP 4, 2014
Pours a clear copper with a thin, off white head. A malty aroma consists of caramel, nuts, bread, vanilla, and lighter floral hops. The taste is very similar to the aroma. It is dominated by bread and caramel that are complimented with vanilla. The floral impressions come through more at the end. Some mild lemon as well. Short caramel aftertaste. Medium in body, with a thicker texture, and average in carbonation. Not very exciting.

mrhopsbeertalk (137) - Massachusetts, USA - AUG 28, 2014
Light earthy and malt/caramel aroma. The flavor follows, but is very thin, light and washes away too quickly. Subtle lemon and toasted malt in the finish. Lighter body is lacking, the aroma and flavors are way too subtle.
