COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A British Pale Ale never tasted so fresh. We challenge our good friends across the pond to match this one. Can’t be done. We’ve honored the traditions of the great British Pale brewers of Burton-on-Trent using our patented Firestone Union oak barrels. You’re left with a mild blend of vanilla and toasted oak flavor touched with an elegant hint of English noble hops. DBA is the flagship of our company and wildly popular

British pale - aged with slight vanilla medium to heavy mouthfeel with warming aftertaste. Pretty good beer. Malty sweet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is caramel and deeply roasted malts. Taste is akin to the aroma yet yet finished somewhat flatly but it is still well balanced and interesting overall. Nice light whiskey cask notes. Appearance is a clear gold with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

Flagship beer? Not the one I would have chosen In Firestone’s lineup. Has a dull and very macro maltiness to it. It tastes cheap. Not a huge fan. 22oz bomb

I enjoyed this beer and it had a good hop profile. I haven’t had a good ESB in a lot time and this was a great balance of a sweet backbone supporting the hops. A crisp finish.

Bottle from McHughs. Pours brown weak tea colour, again excellent clarity. Firestone beers seem to have this in common. Very good looking. Nut, wood, dark fruit, dough, tea bag nose. Sweet toffee, dark fruit, toast, nut. Light body but carries flavour. Dry sweet wood aftertaste. Really nice for style.

Draft at Seaside beerfest. Poured a mostly brown body with an average sized foamy beige head. Aroma of crisp grassy hops, biscuit, toffee, bread. Flavor is the same as the aroma. Body has a medium mouthfeel with slightly stronger carbonation and a lingering aftertaste.

On tap. Pours a dark copper with light head. Aromas of brown sugar and tasted malts. Flavors of dried caramel, grass, and very light oak. Light bitter finish. Nice for the style but a bit boring.

Bottle into English pint glass, clear deep ruby’ish copper color with light tan head. Aroma notes of toffee malt sweetness, toast, fruity, honey and some oak. Taste adds caramel, vanilla, nuttiness, cracker malt and light earthy hop bitterness. Light-medium body, low carbonation, creamy, dry with clean fruity oak finish. Excellent wood aged ESB, tastes bigger than its ABV.

Aroma: Subtle toasty and woody malts Appearance: Thick copper colour and medium sticky head like bubble Taste: Rich toasty and light sweet taste of malts and a little bit hop-bitter Palate: Some sticky medium body, slick tender texture, light carbonation, and subtle toasty & woody finish of the barrel Overall: Really nice balance. Good barrel ale, also one for session.

bottle pour amber caramel red color with not much head..nose has nut like character mixed in with some caramel malts..not getting as much from the so called vanilla and toasted oak flavor intertwined with the hops, not a giant fan of ESB style so not really thrilled by this..light bodied, creamy carbonation decent offering..slight nutty extract qualities in the finish

Pours clear reddish copper with an off white head. The aroma has toasty malt, light fruit, some toffee, spicy / grassy hops, mint, mild oak and a nice brightness. It has a medium / light body with crisp refreshing carbonation. The flavor begins with dry crackery malt, some phenolic spice, woodiness and an earthy english yeast. The finish has grass, mint and spicy hops notes, dry toffee and crusty bread. Really nice ESB.
