COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A British Pale Ale never tasted so fresh. We challenge our good friends across the pond to match this one. Can’t be done. We’ve honored the traditions of the great British Pale brewers of Burton-on-Trent using our patented Firestone Union oak barrels. You’re left with a mild blend of vanilla and toasted oak flavor touched with an elegant hint of English noble hops. DBA is the flagship of our company and wildly popular

Tastes of oak, diluted vanilla, toasted wheat. There’s a mellow earthiness to the beer that is reminiscent of mulch or shaved bark. With that said, it’s also relatively similar to the body of Sam Adams’ Boston Lager. Of course this ale has a more distinct, edgy flavor than the aforementioned brew. Decent in a pinch, with its amber color and subdued hoppiness, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

A bit sweet for a bitter, but a nice, approachable British pale ale. Malt is king, as it should be, although it does start a bit musty before sweetening up.

Clear deep copper brown with a proper head. Toasted toffee, light pine, some oak on aroma. Spicy, oaky, gentle pine, caramel flavors. Medium sweet finish with an almost bubble gum aftertaste.

Âmbar avermelhado, translúcida, espuma amarelada de bao formação e persistência. No aroma notas amadeiradas, terrosas, carameladas. No paladar o amargor leve aparece, dulçor discreto. Corpo leve média carbonatação. Com o tempo de copo ficou mais lupulado/herbal, mantendo leve amadeirado. Boa drinkability.

Can. Pours a clear copper with low bubbly white foam. Instant familiar nutty toffee aroma of a British ale, musty at first but opens up pretty well and shows bright toasty malt and oak. Similar taste, caramel malt sweetness, toffee, toasty woody notes. I get vanilla later down the glass. It’s got a decent amount of carbonation, reasonably light. A faithful representation of the style.

Tap at Olive Another Pint. Malty, light spice, caramel, treacle, grassy hops. Interesting. Pretty nice.

Can from AEON liquors. Drank straight from the can. Aromas of grass, astringent toffee and herbal notes. As it warms up a big of woodsy oak I suppose. Scratchy carbonation on the palate. More grass and burned toffee. Bitter finish with light fruit. Refreshing and feels light though. Very lager-like in mouthfeel and nose to me.

Pours a dark amber copper with some lacing. Aroma is loads of cinder toffee but if you keep sniffing it’s oak and vanilla too. A regular bitter with a bit more booze flavours tagged on the end. They’re a better brewery than this portrays

Poured from can. Aroma of hops and caramel. Appearance is good lookin clear Amber with lacing. Tasting a healthy amount of hops, piney and floral, caramel malt, something herbal, yeast, marshmallow, oak. Has a sort of medicinal aftertaste. Palate is well balanced, nice drinkability. Overall, quite good, but I’m a bit put off by the aftertaste.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Pint at an applebee´s in Camarillo, CA. Clear amber in the glass, fine small light beige head. Decent malty on the nose. Taste starts malty, light toasted, little bit fruity. Followed by a hopy sequence, with some citrus. Malty aftertaste. Fresh and easy to drink.
