On nitro at the brewhouse. Pours a light amber with frothy cream head. Aroma is of cherry, stone fruit and some malt. Taste is maraschino cherry, pear, malt, chocolate milk, caramel and some toffee. Overall, this is a beer that is very easy to drink which is rather odd for a 12% beer. Alcohol is really hidden.

Sampled at Deconstructed event during LA Beer Week, this tasted milder than the ABV. Had more of a British quality. Bourbon flavors were very evident but not dominant.

Herbal-tea-colored under good head and lacing and dry - not wet - hay aroma and good taste of a session beer. Palate is creamy enough. Overall good beer but much better as it warms.

On cask at San Diego Real Ale Fest, Carlsbad (6/12/09): Pours a transparent dark amber copper with a frothy, creamy well-lacing light beige head. Aroma of sweet toasty dark caramel malt and fruity raisin complexity. Body starts with good fullness and sweet toasty caramely English malty character with a nice piny hop balance and some light fruity complexity. Finishes slightly warming and semi-sweet A nicely-styled and enjoyable brew.

Numba 10!
Appearance: Pours like a murky apple cider with a few soapy suds a top. Almost looks like a kraussened yeast starter.
Aroma: Caramel, hard cider, spiced cider, spicy hops, pear and dark booze.
Taste: Caramel, bitter euro hops, apple crisp and dark rum.
Mouthfeel: thick and warming.
Overall: My god I loved it. While on paper its double the double barrel ale, its really like 10 x better than OG DBA.

Cloudy reddish brown with a full sheet of frothiness laced to all hell. Nose was toasty with underlying hoppiness pointing in a herbal, spicy direction. Plump, citrus flavors..fruit flesh, like apricot and overripe peach. Bitter finish that turns somewhat chalky and/or plasticy. full bodied.
