COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

pours a murky amber hue with a small white head that is mostly diminishing aroma of tropical fruits and citrus - flavor just the same but pretty damn hoppy medium mouthfeel with light carb on tap at library alehouse in santa monica ca.

Bottled. Aroma is complex, malty, pungent and sucrose. Mouthfeel is dense and frothy. Sweet caramel to prolonged skunky malt. Bitter chocolate undertones with an unending hoppy kick and plant. Would like to try this on tap under a proper temperature to truly appreciate this well-rated selection.

From notes: Poured into snifter, bubbly orange-amber with a small, thin bone-colored head that was gone quickly. Lots of carbonation bubles along the wall of the glass. Strong, deep (yet not overpowering) grapefruit aroma, and maybe a light woody note. Medium-thick, yet very deep and full-bodied with a slight oilyness and a long, somewhat astringent finish. Flavor was, as expected, hoppy. Mostly pine, with some grapefruit in the finish. Also a mild woody note in the finish. While quite hoppy, it was somewhat restrained (in a good way) as compared to some other double IPA’s I’ve had.

Copper in color. Has a thick, frothy, off-white head with Constallation lacing. Head descipated rather quickly. Hoppy aroma. Hint of citrus in the aroma. Piney aroma. Creamy texture. It coats your mouth. The hops hits the back of your throat almost instantly. There is a salty taste to it. I love this beer. A definite Hoppy lovers beer.

22 oz. bottle- Pours crystal clear orange with a nice three finger head and good lace. The aroma is pungent bitterness, pine, very resinous, sweet and syrupy, love it. The taste is very pungent and resinous, juicy grapefruit, very tasty. The body is medium, finish lingers, carbonation is medium. Overall a wonderfull DIPA, would have to compare with others to see if it makes my top five or not.

My bottle [660ml] shared with garthicus & herrbrown1974. Pours a cloudy orange with a small diminishing frothy white head. Lovely resiny hop aroma along with caramel malt, tropical fruit and a hint of alcohol -- smells great. Flavour of caramel malt, tropical fruit, citrus, a good amount of resiny hops, a hint of alcohol and a nice bitter finish. For 9.5% the alcohol is quite well hidden. Medium bodied. A really nice DIPA, good stuff.

Shared a 650. Thanks to blankboy. This is a fine 2xIPA. Fruity and balanced, big tIme hops. Plenty of grapefruit and orange with caramel malt in the aroma. Soft and meaty mouthfeel. Balanced fruit rInd. This is simple and exactly what many brewers strive for in an IPA. Not Much left to say. Just drink and soak it up.
