Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a moderate pillowy white head on it. Nose has some floral aromas to it with some really nice citrus tones coming through. Taste is a little bit bitter, but with a decent balance to it. A little thick and heavy, but very drinkable.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 OldGrowth (2138) - North Carolina, USA - JUN 16, 2013
bottle, from Bev Mo Paso Robles I believe, 04/11/13 date. Real Good Aroma, sweet. fruity. Citrus, grapefruit, orange, and mango, peach. Clean copper orange color, good head and lace. Bitter sweet flavor. thick body, oily creamy mouthfeel, bitter finish. Darn nice IIPA, real hoppy yet, not overbearing, big stick sweet beer, aroma, jumps all over with the citrus, fleshy fruit, yet as they say they built enough malt to hold up to the hop. Well done
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 keanex (831) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - JUN 15, 2013
On tap at Joe Canals West Deptford.
Appearance: Clear amber hue with a creamy light tan head, perfect.
Aroma: Mango is strong with oranges, pineapple and grapefruit, perhaps a touch of pine.
Taste: Pineapple is right away up front into a moderate bitterness with mango and pineapple underlying with a touch of grapefruit overlying. The malt base is moderate, balancing the beer nicely and adding caramel hints.
Palate: Medium body with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This is an outstanding IIPA. I can’t find many flaws, though I still find it hard to give this a 5.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jbruner (1202) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 15, 2013
Pours a clear golden orange from the bottle with fluffy off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of strong caramel malts up front, piney resinous hop center, and a boozy sweet end. Taste follows, a slightly bittersweet finish. A little over the top, but a solid beer.

Firestone Walker Double Jack IPA:
Not for the feint if heart. Nice bite up front. Decent lacing when consumed from a pint glass. Warning: That 9% ABV is sure to sneak up on you.

Little lacing, medium body, nice syrupy texture, and little carbonation. Taste is grapefruit, tangerine, really nice malt middle, and slightly bitter hops finish. Good double IPA and better as it warms.
