COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

Bottle from Choice Beverages. Pours a light copper with a thin white head. The aromas are grass, citrus, bread. The mouthfeel is fry, bitter and has a medium body. Overall a great beer!

Bottle from central market and tap at Zio Carlo. Pours a clear orange color with a white head. Aroma is a lovely sticky sweet hop smell with resin galore. Fantastic smell. Flavor is sweet malts, candied sugar, sticky hops, yes. This is very good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3-20-13 bottling date. From Belmont Station A: Pure copper color with a firm 1/4" head. Carbonation is drawn throughout the body. Slick off the glass. N: Hops and malt in concert. Pineapple, spruce, and hints of mango. There’s an earthiness here, along with some honey melon, some sugar, and some grass. Not very strong or altogether alluring, though. T: Quite bitter with only a hint of sweetness. There’s a lot of the dry pine floor with a heavy leaf quality. Can be rather sharp around the edges. M: Some alcohol. Dry with a medium-heavy body. O: A good beer, but it’s missing a second gear to get it to the next level. Might be a lesser batch, too, as I recall having some that were a lot better. Would prefer a Union Jack to this one, though.

Excelente breja! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear amber with medium white head. Aroma of resin, pine, caramel malt, tropical fruit. Taste is sweet caramel balanced with heavy resin bitter - just perfect. Long resinous finish. Body is medium creamy-oily with soft carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650 ml bottle. Pours a nice dark gold with a 4 inch beige head that slowly collapses. Taste is of grapefruit, pine, hops, resin, fruit, grass, malt and caramel. Similar hoppy aroma. Has a nice creamy body. The finish is dry and bitter. Very easy to drink and the high ABV is not noticeable. An excellent IPA that is worth having again.

Didn't pour a large head, just a rim around the glass. The color is hazy deep orange. Aroma is crisp pine, mild alcohol, oaky, grassy, lemon lime and a variety of citrus zest. Taste is crisp, medium bitterness, grapefruit and lemon zest. Finish is grassy and pine with a medium mouthfeel leaving a film on the tongue allowing the flavor to linger. There is a small lace left on the glass, not nothing overly appealing as most IPAs will leave. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A plethora of citrus and pine needle scents pass through your senses. Appearance might be the weakest part of this beer. Flavor is really good. Hop bursts, which are mellowed nicely with plenty of malts. Really well balanced. Alcohol is barely detectable. Very solid beer, I’m glad I was able to try. It’s been a while since I’ve been wowed by a beer; this one sure fits that mold.

Pours a beautiful orange. Translucent with a small head. Aroma of pineapple an citrus. Bold hops and citrus, notes of pineapple. Very refreshing double IPA. If you like Palate Wrecker by Green Flash you will fall in love with double jack! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
