Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

Bomber. Surprisingly found at the REAL store at Spandau Arcaden, 15 months old. Pours light amber with a frothy head. Nose has loads of grapefruit and some cereal. Taste is bitter with grapefruit and some mangoes. Would love this fresher though!

355ml bottle. Pours a hazy deep golden amber, with a smallish off-white head, which lasts reasonably well and leaves a little lacing. Tangelo, grapefruit and tropical fruit hops mix with a little caramel malt to create an alluring aroma. An initial mango flavour is soon overcome by powerful grapefruit and kiwifruit hops, with a touch of resin lurking in there too. Quite smooth caramel malt reins things in a bit in the mid-palate, before succumbing to tangelo and resin hops in the finish. A big, bold and highly enjoyable IIPA.

Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique February 2014. Hazy orange colour with a melange of fruit flavours ranging from citrus to melon to pine. In the mouth the beer leaves a thick coating on the tongue.

Delicious IPA. Strong and smooth on the palate. Flavor is a strong hops and the aroma agrees. The color is a beautiful golden yellow with the standard broken white head that can be expected of a nice IPA. Amazing brew from Firestone.

Gold, thin white head. Sweet, floral nose...a bit of citrus, tangerine. Mild bitterness, mixed with pineapple. Bitterness lingers, but didn’t overpower. Moderate carbonation.

This is perhaps the best double IPA I have ever tasted. Literally smells like fresh pineapple juice. Pineapples blasting you in the face the whole time. Beautiful color on this one. The taste is out of this world. It’s just so fresh. Pineapple, orange, grapefruit just dominate it. Nice malt backbone that’s not too sweet just right. Firestone Walker is an excellent brand, I’m completely hooked.

Bottle. Very clear golden pour. Pure white head which just about lingers to the finish. Deep rich pine and grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and hop bitterness taste very well balanced and smooth. 9.5%abv is really well hidden. Excellent specimen

Barwa: złocista, klarowna. Piana biała, drobno pęcherzykowa, średniej wielkości, ładnie oblepiająca szkło [5/5] Aromat: słodowy (zbożowy, herbatnikowy i nieco karmelowy) z dominującym akcentem chmielowym (melon, cytrusy, zioła). Niestety trochę mniej przyjemnych naleciałości chmielu zielonego, łodygowego również obecnych, alkohol natomiast nieźle ukryty. [4,5/5] Smak: słodowy, słodki i pełny, z wytrawną chmielową kontrą.
