Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

Floral, piney hops on the nose. Nice dark golden hue. Good balance in the flavor, with a little sweetness. A little too carbonated.

Pours clear copper orange with a substantial white head. The aroma explodes with citrus and pine and a very subtle hint of light sweet malt. Taste is strong bitter, with some solid tropical fruit flavors. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Firestone Walker Double Jack IPA finishes with a spicy bitterness.

Great head with a dark golden color, nice aroma with great hop kick. Doesn't get better that this.

The hop bill on this one was very good, but there was nowhere near enough malt to carry it through. this one was a bit too hop water-like for my tastes.

Growler - fresh as the day is long. Pours a light amber with a thick, white foamy head. Nice lacing. Aroma is bready, piney grapefruit. A nice lingering bitterness in the taste. The ABV is apparent, but not overwhelming. A very solid DIPA offering that I could see leading to trouble ;)

Hop juice for the hop lover. Insane amounts of citrus, pine, and sticky resins. Solid malts, chewy, and bready. Heavy bitterness, really intense. Solid tropical fruit, and grapefruit in the finish, with loads of pine resins. Really a solid balanced DIPA.

Its hoppy, stuff and junk. Iím not a huge fan of this brewery. High ABV is pleasant, and balanced by hop and malt body,

Poured at a good temperature with a large, foamy, cream-colored head that subsided after a bit and lots of lace. Color is a clear yellow amber. Aroma is resin, hop, malt, grain. Flavorís like nose, carbonic tang up front, follow immediately by bitter/sweet and the other components. Body and carbonation are perfect for style. Finish is like flavor, long, and super drinkable. Itís a letís git it beer.

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of citrus and piney hops notes is quite dominant with some dry caramel malt with some residual sugar also noticeable. Taste is a hops forward mix of citrus notes with light piney notes with some bitterness. Malt backbone offset some of the hops presence with light residual sugar notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Solid beer though I was expecting more floral hoppy notes.
