Mmmmmmm, solid all the way through DIPA here. Nice and floral, grapefruit and citrused out. Really liked the dryness factor of the malt and how it blended quite perfectly with the hop profile. Thick, bold, and full. Damn good stuff. Wish it wasn’t $8!!

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is a really nice beer - but like other IPA’s with more than two or three hop varietals, the flavor gets muddied and you can’t really tell what you’re drinking.
A - Big grapefruit and apricot, and very floral.
C - Dark copper
T - Patches of both sweet and bitter, though like I said above, all of the different hop varietals muddy the flavor.
P - Despite the high alcohol content, it’s a really drinkable beer.
Serving - Troegs Mad Elf tulip glass.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber. Pours a rich golden color with full white head. Aromas of citrus, pine and slight caramel. Great citrus hop flavor, some nice sweetness inthe middle, and a bitter sweet finish; alcohol is well hidden...good stuff.

I really enjoyed this one, thanks zach. It had a nice pour, it was pale with a light head. The aroma was a very citrus like beer and it was quite citrusy with a nice bitterness. Good beer, would like some more

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber. Poured crystal-clear, lighter orangey-golden with a sticky whitish head. The aroma opened with a deep blend of honey and fruity notes, topped by an aggressive, but well-executed hop barrage (tangerine, floral, and spicy pine led).. black pepper and more tangerine trailed.. excellent! The flavor found bready malts to go along with honey at the core.. floral and tangerine bitterness surrounded, amplified by alcohol warmth.. dry, lightly-scratchy peppery bitterness on the belly-warming finish. Medium-plus bodied and well-balanced on the palate.. this was a big beer, but was juicy, and everything worked well together.

Bottle at Dark Lord Day. Thanks for the share. Poured light golden brown with small head. Very citrus with light pine in the aroma. Similar taste with light honey in the back. One of my favourites from the day.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Magnificent! Powerful and sweet with genuine pine forest cone bitterness so aromatic and delicious. A treat with malt backbone sufficient to hang out yet get of the frikin’ way. Good firey mouthfeel and firey alcohol available for your pleasure at the Iron Monkey JC. There is some well defined juicy citrus but i could not get over the wonderful pine character. A great sipper.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle enjoyed in small snifter. So nice to have a beer deliver. I’ve had so many disappointments with double IPAs lately - BrewDog spoiled, a number of others hard to come by, so imagine my surprise to stumble upon this in my humble local store. Aroma just that lovely double IPA smell, like Dreadnaught, like Hop 15, like Hopslam. Bit of rose as it warms, bit of hay. Slight malty finish, but super bitter. Tons of citrus, though maybe light on pine (which is no problem). Certainly a bit sprucey, but nothing overpowering. Crisp, but ever so slightly syrupy, just dings the palate a touch. More malt as it warms, in the nose and on the tongue. Hint of medicine in the flavor. In the end, not quite as well defined as the very best for me, though still an excellent and delicious beer.
