Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

22oz bomber. Pours pale orange with medium head. Aroma is pineapple hops. Taste is big sweet fruity hops with boozy lighter malt body. Incredible citrus flavor from this beer. Huge body without being heavy at all. Really delicious for a DIPA.

A solid imperial IPA with loads of malt to help balance. I could say more, but come see me again when I'm not drinking this lovely beer with a hop cascade of varied characters ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Aroma is dominated with hops straight away, loads of pine, grapefruit, citrus. Taste is the same, little bit of biscuit, long lasting taste of lemon, grapefruit, pine. Medium carbonation, really smooth, oily texture. Very easy drinking. Lovely stuff.

From a bottle. Pours light amber with minimal head and no lacing. Aroma is of pine, malt and earthy notes. Taste is hoppy with a malt, resin backbone and slight alcohol warmth. Palate is primarily hoppy. A phenomenal DIPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great aroma. A little cloudy. But, oh, that taste! Desireable on the palate- overall a very drinkable 9.5% delicious beer from Firestone Walker.

12 oz bottle. Bottled on 09/25/14. From saveur-biere.com.
Cloudy orangey golden colour with a mid-size foamy white head. Delicious aroma of fruits... orange, tangerine and grapefruit. Juicy hops, moderate bitterness, sweetness, caramel and malt in the aroma. Yummy! The flavour is moderately bitter, fruity, resiny and piney hoppy and candy sweet. Heady, tasty and delicious. An excellent DIPA.

22 oz bottle. Aroma: malty, piney, and citrusy, with hints of barnyard, and resin. Taste/Palate: crisp and somewhat sweet; finishes with a long bitterness.

Aroma: Citrus, pine, fresh. Appearance: Bright, crystal clear, golden, orange. Gorgeous, thick, creamy, white, three finger head (bad pour) that disappeared slowly. Taste: Citrus front-end, earthy, raisins, bitter hops. Slight tinge of alcohol in the finish. Palate: Fresh front-end that dissipates quickly into a mouth tightening bitterness. Overall: I poured this 12 oz. bottle into a glass in which I like to drink beer. Had big hopes for this beer. It was solid, just not what I was hoping for and drank much less than my 3.7 rating. RateBeer member Niksko summed it best, "Classic american IPA flavours (sic...he’s from Melbourne), turned up to 11." #respectbeerbrethren
