COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

courtesy of Jürg Kohler - light hazy dark orange beer with a poor head retention; correct lacing though; solid hoppy aroma of apricots and pine needles; full-bodied and with some sweetness; a late and robust bitterness; quite sticky palate, long resiney hoppy finish with more fruity hoppy notes and a lingering bitterness

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2011 Tap @ Boulder Strong Ale Festival. Light yellow orange appearance with a white head. Very floral hoppiness that mostly dominates the pale malts. Very floral and very citrusy hop flavor that makes up most of the flavor of the beer. Grapefruity, bitter finish..

Bottle… Clear amber ale with orange highlights and a small, ultra-sheer, white head. The nose provides earthy pine and cat piss as the aromatic foundation for a ton of citrusy pink grapefruit. Full-bodied and lightly creamy with modest carbonation. The flavor presents intense, major-league bitterness - grapefruit rind and pine. Lengthy, lightly malty, violently bitter finish that bites hard and doesn’t release any time soon. Bottle provided by darkguardian!
