Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

This is a great beer. Has a sweet taste, followed by the hoppy bitterness. Love this stuff. Bought a growler of this a week ago, highly recommend it.

Bottle, 8 months old. Clear copper in colour with fluffy white head. Aroma mainly malty sweet, low aroma notes (mind the age): pine, resin and some citrus. In taste medium sweet, resiny and sweetness is countered rapidly by big bitterness, which is short, heavy and very smooth. Medium body, soft carbonarion. Great beer, I’d love to try it fresh.

Bright golden, clear with drops of visible carbonation and a decent contrasting white cap. Nose is brisk minty over piney, grapefruit, narrow bright malt and candied clementine. Initial taste is flickers of pine and syruppy pineapple with a jump start of bitterness. Juiciness has a bit of stage fright and this dry, minerally richness takes the opportunity. Carbonation is firm, mouthfeel stern but crisp enough. Finishes oddly dewy, gooseberry then a bit more greasy mint grapefruit it on the linger.

Big, aggressive IPA. Pours clear amber with a white lacing head. Strong pineapple, grapefruit on the nose, flavour follows suit. Aggressive bitterness, but balanced really well with a good malty backbone. Easy drinking, with a nice dry herbal bitter finish. Top quality stuff.

Bottle pours copper with off white head. Orange, pine, resin, earth, herbs. High bitterness, light sweetness. Full, crisp body. Trailing bitterness.

Pours medium amber from a bomber. Slightly malty aroma. Starts and middle is malty as advertised and drinks less boozy than the 9.5 would suggest. Citrus hoppy finish, solid beer. Usually don’t care for doubles as much.

12oz bottle from Valhalla’s Goat. Orange amber, good head. Sweet grain resin malt aroma. Sweet cloying orange malt flavour. Bitter sweet hoppy malt aftertaste. I know this is a good exapmle of this sort of beer but it isn’t really my sort of beer.

Zitrusfrüchte, Grapefruit, Mango, Orange, Zitrone, Pinie, Erde. Der Geschmack eine Wucht. Volle Dröhnung an Hopfen, dazu malzige Süße.

Originally rated on 8/13/14. "A clear-ish, deep copper body, with a fluffy white head that leaves some pretty good lace. Aromas of piney, and lemon citrus hops with biscuit and caramel malt notes. Subdued malt sweetness with cereal and honey, a bold hop bitterness throughout the taste. Mouthfeel is ’light’ for the style, but i like how easy it goes down.A very nice, well-rounded IIPA. High ABV is well hidden, but you can feel it pretty quick. Overall a really nice brew.
