Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

Bottle from House of 1000 Beers. Pours clear amber, egghell white head, fizzy and pillowy all at once. Flowery nose, with pine and citrus, sugary candy bubble gum, the cheap Double Bubble kind. Caramel backbone with flowery and earthy hop notes, same cheap bubble gum reference. Not very bitter at all for a DIPA. No lingering bitterness or astringency. Really scary at 9.5%. Only a touch of vaporous alcohol. Pretty solid.

Bottle to glass. One of my favorite easy to find double IPAs for sure. Huge resiny juicy tropical fruit hops in the aroma. Big fruity hop kick in the flavor as well, but a bit of an astringent bitterness. Big beer with well hidden ABV. Long lingering tropical fruit sweetness and a nice bitter on the back of the tongue. Always tasty.

A very fine beer. Sweet but not too sweet, hoppy but not too bitter and with amazing flavors of chocolate, citrus, and some earthiness.

Taste- A great blend of hops, citrus and lemon zest Palate- A medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation with an excellent dry crisp finish. Overall- An outstanding beer.

Poured into a snifter, pours a slightly hazy golden color with an eggshell head that clings. The aroma is of floral hops and you can get a little residual sweetness from the malts and a touch of pine. The taste is much like the aroma, the floral hops with the sweet pale malts on the forefront with a nice piney bite at the end of the sip. Mouthful is appropriate for the style and is overall a great beer. Itís what a west coast IPA should be, great hop blend that gives you great aromas and tastes, a bit of a bitter bite at the end but not totally unbalanced or undrinkable. Great DIPA

From a 22 oz bomber, bottle date 12/08/14. Enjoyed late January, 2015. Pours a golden orange, 1-2 finger soapy off white head. Ample carbonation, bubbles streaming up sides. Aroma is just nice, orange, pineapple, grapefruit, all kinds of citrus. I hate to use this word, but itís just juicy. Taste follows the aroma, citrus and pine. Hefty amount of malt here keeps the bitterness pretty low. Super easy drinking. Carbonation makes it prickly in the mouth, but I like it. Sticky on the finish. Currently the best big IPA Iíve had.

CBC 2014. Golden with a thick and lasting white head. Citrus hoppy aroma, with lots of orange and some lime, along with pine notes. Cryish citrus hoppy flavour with bready malt. Very bitter, but not in an aggressive way.

Fluffy white head, 2 1/2 fingers in depth. Hazy appearance and orange-yellow in color. Aroma is grapefruit and other citrus flavors w/ a malty backbone. Flavor is grapefruit, other tropical fruits, pine needles with a caramel backbone that moderates the bitterness. There is also a sweetness, possibly honey along with herbal notes. Great IPA

Bottle from cellarbrations super store in hami hill. Pours orange with a thick creamy head, leaning lots of nice lacing. Aroma is resinous and citrusy. In the mouth it has a medium body and moderate carbonation. Taste is aggressively bitter with loads of grape fruit and tangerine. One of the best I've had!

Very good ipa. Lots of citrus and grapefruit flavor and a good malt - hops balance. Just bitter enough and highly carbonated -- does not drink like it has a 9.5 abv!

Quite bitter, not the usual hop heavy double, lighter feeling as a result, but still with that big ABV. Heavy on the tongue but I love the golden hue. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
