COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

Bottle. Golden orange, bright and clear. The initial woosh of bubbles rises to quite a nicely impressive head of foam, but it surrenders inside of 2 minutes. The aroma is simply phenomenal ... rich with fruit and fresh pine. The beer delivers on the promise with a resin-laced silkiness and warming alcoholic sting. This is a beaut. (#4128, 5/30/2011)

Drank from tulip poured from bomber. Aroma - very nice citrus aroma from hops. Appearance - beautiful golden orange with nice carbonation and froth. Taste - very nice. Buttery and caramel with citrus hops. Palate - some sulfure/burnt mouthfeel. Not my ideal. Overall - good ipa. Still not my favorite besides the hype but tasty overall

Citrus (grapefruit) & pine aroma. Medium bitterness for the style. Medium body. Very drinkable for the ABV.

This is great. It has a strong hop aroma of citrus, stone fruit, piney, and faint scallion. Taste is a good malt backbone with lots of hop character and only a smidgen of booze. Finish is dry, crisp, and complex. Certainly a double worth trying.

Bottle Poured into ipa glass. Orange golden pour with a thick white head. Smells huge on grapefruit with orange rind and pine. Malty finish in the nose. Tastes citrus and grapefruit with a sweet malty middle and a bitter hop finish.

Bottle @CBC13. Hazy dark orange with big white head. Aroma of pine, oak, grass, citrus, malt and caramel. Taste is crispy and sweet; grapefruit, grass and lots of citrus. Very nice beer

The aroma of this beer is quite hoppy (floral, resin, and citrus hops to be specific), and the appearance combines a clear orange color with a large white head. The taste was very well balanced between a medium bitterness and a mild sweetness, and the mouthfeel combines a bitter finish, medium body, slick texture, and a soft carbonation.

A great imperial IPA, arguably one of the best there is. I will take this beer over a Hopslam, Hopwallop, Nugget Nectar, or anything similar, but I think that the style is overrated. The nose on this beer is one of the most recognizable I’ve experienced (with regards to the Imperial IPA style, anyhow) because the drinker gets less citrus and grapefruit peel notes but a bit more pine and malt, which (thank God) differs from most imperials (which this rater contends pretty much all taste the same with little variation). As a server, if someone wants something hoppy, this is my go-to beer because it is damn good.

Bottle. Clear yellow with a thick good lacing white head. Smells juicy and crisp with pine, bread and biscuit. Same notes in the aroma with some mango and peach. Taste is medium sweet and bitter. Medium to full body, oily/creamy texture, soft carbonation. Crisp, smooth, balanced and hides the alcohol really well.

1 Pint 6 oz. Bottle. Pours golden/bronze, thick frothy head, which last relatively long. Aroma is hoppy with light citrus flavors, which is surprising for this beer. Thought it would have a more complex aroma. Taste is however on the spot. IBU are very high, seems higher than 100 and the alcohol content is noticeable but welcoming. The Palate is a blaze with life, carbonation is lively. Overall: Excellent Beer, a true craft beer champion.

Flaske: Gul klar øl med et flot kridhvidt skumhoved. Duften er velhumlet med vægt på citrus og let kattepis. Smagen sidder i skabet. I det hele taget en yderst velkomponeret øl.
