COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

Draft snifter at Bavarian Lodge, $6. Oooh, fresh Amarillo hops for sure from the first whiff. Thin, clingy white head and…yipes! I just can’t get the impression of cat whizz out of my nose. Tha’ss one big hoppy beer. Really clear copper-amber color, which I suggest is their Union system at work. The first sip brings in syrupy malts, not sticky, but bright, with some impressions of iced tea. Hops are still nearly bringing tears to my eyes, so you’ve got to really be a hop-head to enjoy this one. Coats the tongue with both malt and bitterness, yet the total mouthfeel is a little lighter than, say a Hopslam. Still delivers on that big hippity hop hop. A smack in the face with a bale of wet hops. Did I mention this was hoppy?

Bottle from saveur-biere. Clear dark gold. Thin to medium white head. Super balanced taste and super balanced aroma. Hops and fruits all over. Where’s the alcohol? Lovely!

Fantastisk humlebomb i både doft & smak & det märker man av blandningen av 6 amerikanska humle sorter. Man känner sötman av alkoholen men ändå är den ganska gömd i humlen, en bra balans. Man kan även känna av malten den fina malten. Bl.a karamell. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear radiant orange amber with big frothy off-white head. Great hop aroma. Fruity and spicy. Bigger medium body. Firm bitterness but never sharp or unbalanced or unpleasant or outlasting its welcome. Alcohol hidden well. Such drinkability for such a big beer. Nice.

Super citrusy aroma. Grapefruit, orange/tangerine. A good hops/malt mix in the aroma as well. Taste is spot on. The malts subdue the hoppiness a lot, though you can still taste both. More orange/tangerine in the taste than grapefruit to me at least. delicious.

Pours with a nice white head, which settles to a fine layer. Massive burst of hops in the aroma, mostly the Simcoe and Centennial to me. Lots of citrus and resin here with lasting bitterness. A bit of alcohol warming. Very drinkable.

355ml bottle from Brewdog online store. Pours a clear orange amber colour with a frothy white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of caramel, mango, citrus & pine resin, earthy, hoppy. Flavour is sweetish malt caramel nicely balanced with tropical fruits, peach, floral orange, grapefruit & pine, grassy bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation, dry earthy bitter finish. Very drinkable DIPA!

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 26 Sep 2014) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with grapefruit, citrus, honey, hints of basil and lots of fresh hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, pine needles, biscuits, peaches and a solid, fresh, citric bitterness in a finish with a slight alcohol bite. Almost full body, with balanced sweetness. Excellent DIPA with an impressive hop character. Lovely beer!

Bottle thanks to Justin. Another needless extra. This guy is killing me. Nose is super citrus and dank. light copper color. Minimal white head. Taste is immediately bitter with a light malt backbone. Hop flavor is moderately citrus. Overall pretty good.

Pours hazy pale color with lots of head. Aroma is amazing. Smells like fresh hops. Grapefruit grassy with citrus notes. Taste is full body with lots of malt character followed by wonderful grapefruit and hay hop bitterness.
