COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

Bottle. Pours an orange-straw color with a nice head. A lot of alcohol on the aroma, along with caramel malts and citrusy hops. The flavor is much more hop-dominated, with a lot of grapefruit notes. The malt balances the hops nicely, but remains fairly secondary as a flavor component. Not super complex, but well-balanced and tasty. Reminds me a bit of the Three Floyds Dreadnaught, which is never a bad thing.

Bottle. Golden copper color. Aroma of citrus, mango, pine, caramel and peach. Flavor of mango, citrus, caramel, passion fruit, peach and mild booze. Very nice.

Bottle. Appearance- amber and reasonably clear, some carbonation, a two-finger beige/off-white head which leaves some lacing. Aroma- pine, pineapple, mango, blood orange, citrus fruit, fruit juice, yeast, hops. Taste- bitter hops dominate, orange peel and pineapple juice, pine, juicy hop resins, malty undertones with hints of caramel and bread. Oily and clingy in the mouth, and a nice understated bitter finish. Excellent.

355ml bottle from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow:
This one from Firestone Walker was quite a hoppy & very strong tasting beer with huge amounts of pine, grapfriut & tropical fruits before some nice caramel sweetness appeared towards the end. Despite the strength & some alcohol showing, it was easier to drink that expected & the balance was good as well with a dry, lingering bitter finish. Another excellent beer from the brewery & some well worth looking out for.

Great aroma. There's a slight citrus scent to it. Maybe an orange or grapefruit. Upon tasting, it's certainly grapefruit. It's not obnoxious, but the finish has on obvious grapefruit bitterness. I like this one. It has a nice hoppiness to it and it sits well on the palate. I would get this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Good hop flavor for such a high ABV at 9.5, the alcohol is very well masked and not overpowering. Darker notes but still nice and piney. Good lacing if you care about that. The flavor sticks around on the tongue which makes for a long drinker. Very nice day drinker.

Draft at Claude Hopper's. Dark gold, clear with thin white head. Served a little too cold. Aroma is a little citrus and fruity. More malty than most, maybe because it's cold. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Massive wife off pine as you open the bottle. The resin smell lingers in the glass, which leads to a very piney hop flavor. A very drinkable double ipa

What more is there to say? One of if not the best year round double IPA out there - beautiful blend of caramel malt profile with a huge bomb of citrus hops. These go down easy.

Light refreshing scent. Clear, light amber. Grapefruit hops but covered up by bready malt. A little heavy. Can definitely feel the alcohol pretty quick.
