Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

Firestone Walker Double Jack, Double IPA is a big malty, high alcohol, huge hop bitter concussion. Large amounts of citrus and juicy aroma laying over top of the herbaceous malty Chuck Norris fist to the mouth beer you have in front of you. Best enjoyed only after years of Texas Ranger training

Sampled from bottle at THT May. Clear deep golden with thin white head. Sweet caramel malts, nice hoppiness. Marijuana, exotic fruit, mango, pineapple, breadiness. Sweet, mild bitter. Over medium body, average carbonation.

Bottle at THT that’s to RandomStrangerNL. Clear golden with short lasting white head. Grapefruit, marmalade, lots of sugary notes, caramel and vanilla biscuits. Soft green leaves and herbs. Quite sweet and over medium bitter. Almost full bodied.

Tap at Olive Another Pint. Resin pine caramel. Taste is similar, dangerously easy drinking. Smooth, full bodied. Very nice bitter and boozy finish. Great stuff.

Pours a clean golden yellow color. Aromas of sweet pineapple, mandarin, and pine dominate. Taste initially starts off with bittersweet pineapple, followed by some grapefruit and pine. This beer is really quaffable for the high abv. One of the best!!!

Bottle from Deguchiya. Pours a clear copper with a full finger of head that leaves a nice rim around the edges. Very big orange and tangerine notes that last throughout. A bit of honey as well. Medium body with average carbonation. Clean and well-balanced. Lots of marmalade, honey malt and slight bread-like notes. Finish has more orange and marmalade with some bitterness and a warming finish. A classic west-coast double IPA.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo, Coventry. Strange aroma, slightly piney, but a weird cardboard like aroma seems to be present. Taste is much better, juicy fruits, peachy, grapefruit, tangerine, pine. Medium bitter, smooth finish. Alcohol is present. Still a nice beer, but not the best DIPA

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

355ml bottle at home. Somewhat hazy orange with a medium white soapy head. Medium to full body with low to moderate carbonation. Great bitter and sweet tones. Tropical fruits, grapefruit, tangerine, citrus, caramel and malts. Great IPA!
