Brewmaster Matt Brynildson went to the mountain and returned with a vision for a different kind of Session IPA, one that would be brewed and dry hopped with a globetrotting selection of new hop varieties from Europe, New Zealand and North America. He foresaw a beer that would deliver massive hop aromas, a signature malt balance and an empty glass before you knew what hit you. And so the newest member of our Jack IPA family was born.

Canned 02/24/15. Pours pale golden yellow, white head. Aroma is fantastic grapefruit, lemon drop, orange peel. Lots of citrus and hop character, malt backbone. Body is a little lackluster but the flavor is substantial. Lemon and grapefruit. Really nice. Not as good as a regular IPA, but an excellent session.

Brand new cans. It’s tough to differentiate between the slew of Session IPAs today, but I think this stands out. Lots of hop aroma and just enough bitterness but plenty of room for multiple pours, obviously. I’d drink it over All-Day and Go-To.

Draft at the Cozy in Kenmore. Great beer in an even better bar. Clear, clean gold. Good fresh citrus hop aroma. Mild smooth body, plenty of hop flavor but less alcohol and bitterness. Very enjoyable.

Solid stuff -some citrusy hops on the nose. Taste is less so but a decent hop bite. Great lawnmower or working outdoors beer.

Light yellow almost no head. The aroma is really nice. Lots of american hops, juicy citrus explosion. Taste is good too. Low malt factor, sweet juicy citrus hops. Really nice.

Hard to believe this is as light as it is. Pours a clear light yellow with a white head. The aroma is grassy with citrus. The flavor is the same with just a touch of sweetness. The finish is dry and bitter.

This one is definitely easy! Pours a clear, bright, golden yellow with a white head. Aroma is hop flower and biscuit. Finish is slightly bitter and clean.

Pours a clear gold color, with minimal head retention and some decent lacing. A light looking beer, but an attractive one. Smells floral, but not overwhelmingly so. Tastes bitter and finishes quite dry. A solid session beer.

12 oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Pours a clear golden colour with modest-sized white head. Aroma is grass, tropical fruit, a little pine and some grainy malt. Flavour has solid tropical fruit and grassy hops with a little pine and an underlying graininess. Average body. Good.

Clear golden pour lots of sticky lacing and a small ring of white head .... Aroma of grapefruit, mango citrusy hop goodness .... Taste is a little watery with a nice bitter citrusy bite, mango and grapefruit rinds .... Has a slight malty backbone with a nice lingering bitter bite .... Nice session not the top of this food chain
