Brewmaster Matt Brynildson went to the mountain and returned with a vision for a different kind of Session IPA, one that would be brewed and dry hopped with a globetrotting selection of new hop varieties from Europe, New Zealand and North America. He foresaw a beer that would deliver massive hop aromas, a signature malt balance and an empty glass before you knew what hit you. And so the newest member of our Jack IPA family was born.

Almost clear gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, Good carbonation. Amazing nose of mango, fruit salad sweets and peach. Smooth but thin malts, mild sweetness. Hops follow the nose, sweetish fresh mango - the ones from Pakistan, fruit salad sweets, touches of peach, nectarines and mandarin. Light smooth finish. Very nicely done.

Can from The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Gold white white head. It?s your pale ale with a hit of hops. Hops are decently balanced. Not much pale malt to speak of but it is what it is. Pretty damn drinkable session ipa. Or golden ale as we call it in the UK.

Can, at The Corner Foodery, Philadelphia. It’s a clear, golden beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma has oranges, grapefruit and some pale malts. It’s rather low on bitterness in the flavor, with orange zest, grapefruit and a light malty backdrop. Medium to full body and a nice carbonation level. Quite bitter finish with some malts. A rather boring one, especially the initial flavor. 150622

Buttle from Stearns Liquor Mart, Long Beach. Clear pale golden beer with a nice lasting offwhite head. Hoppy pine aroma, citrus, peach, grapes, caramel notes, grassy, some passion fruit. Hoppy citrus flavor, pine, peach, oranges, grapes, some pine apples. Lovely fruity SIPa with a nice hop-attitude. Also, first beer after traveling over the Atlantic.

Can at home, 19/10/15. Clear orange golden with a well appointed off white cap - a looker of a bier! Nose is toasted malt, straw, tangerine, melon, orange sherbet, pine. Taste comprises tangerine, lightly toasted bread, melon, faint tea leaf, straw, light pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with grassy hop bitterness. Solid sessioner.

Bottle @ home. Been waiting for this one! Clear as day golden pour with a white head. Holy tropical fruit. Passion fruit, grapefruit, and pineapple. Really fucken dank. Slight popcorn and toast. Flavor is bitter pine, grapefruit, and orange peel. A hint of blueberry muffin. Tons of pineapple and passion fruit, too. Only flaw is a bit of green onion on the finish.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours light gold with a white head. Aroma is light stone fruity. Med minus body. Flavor suggests peach. Bitter tho. Lightly bitter. It’s very smooth and tasty. I rate this very sessionable. Finishing drier than not. A little malt finally gets my attention. Nice.
