Brewmaster Matt Brynildson went to the mountain and returned with a vision for a different kind of Session IPA, one that would be brewed and dry hopped with a globetrotting selection of new hop varieties from Europe, New Zealand and North America. He foresaw a beer that would deliver massive hop aromas, a signature malt balance and an empty glass before you knew what hit you. And so the newest member of our Jack IPA family was born.

12 oz bottle from a six pack bought at Super 1 in Post Falls, ID. Aroma is all grapefruit, all the time. Pours clear golden with a large white head with good retention, leaving lace. Taste is bittersweet and citrusy, finishing with a lingering, but not severe, bitterness. Body is thin--to style--finely carbonated. Nice and well-crafted.

Bottle. Mostly clear yellowish-gold pour with a small head that quickly fades to a ring. Leaves solid lacing. Aroma is fairly dank, especially for a session beer. Really nice. Pulpy grapefruit, dank wet grass, pine, peach, and light pineapple. Tastes great too. Light to moderately dank. Light sweet/bitter balance. Get more tropical fruit now that goes well with the wet grass, pine, and citrus. Medium to full body. Really great overall. I like it because itís like a sipper session IPA. Iíd be very happy just sipping on two of these over a couple hours on a random night.

Can from Drinkmonger. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, straw and peach. Flavour of orange, lemon and a light, hoppy finish. Thin body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Solid rather than spectacular.

12 us fluid oz can from Little Leeds Beer House. Consumed on the train Leeds to Edinburgh. Hard to say what the colour is, due to lack of glassware. Looks clear pale gold. Aromas of resinous hops, pine, catty notes. Taste is bitter, some citrus at the back. A touch watery maybe. Bitter finish. Decent train beer.

Can. Little Leeds Beer House. Clear gold. Uneven, bubbly, frothy, lasting, just off white head. Tropical fruit, and orange hop, with a light toffee, lightly spicy malt background. Smells fresh, and punchy. Taste is bitter, and juicy, toffee sweet. Slick palate tempered by a good level of prickly fizz. Finishes fairly long, punchy bitter. A nad of sticky sweet stays with it. Good. Not certain I could session it, though.

Saw this listed as a new offering at a local bar. The color on it was lighter than many IPAs but it did not lack in flavor at all. I found it to be quite enjoyable glass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 5/22/15

Aroma: The aroma is fairly clean, lightly hoppy, some floral and citrus, earth, and a bit of grass
Appearance: It pours a mostly clear orange-good, with an off-white head and coating lace
Flavor: Three flavor is right on what I expected, clean hop, light sweetness, good, clean bitterness
Palate: The body is light medium, not watery or think, easy drinking, and quite clean
Overall Impression: First of, why the heck is this not canned? I mean this is definitely what I personally want in a canned Session IPA. Do better next time.

Bottle. Light in color and body, this is definitely "easy" ... but itís still full of character and worthy of the FW moniker. (#5975, 5/22/2015)
