375. Golden yellow. Moderately sour. Lots of wood, I’m told it’s French oak by my whiskey friend. Kinda like sucking on a cedar chip, mixed with some tart lemon.

Draft. Pale gold hue, perfect clarity. Thin, frothy head of pure white. Nose: white vinegar, lemon zest, a hint of Brett. A swirl brings herbal notes and mint. Dry, earthy flavor. White vinegar at first, then semi-sweet pear. Not as intense as the aroma. Medium-light body, mild massaging bubbles. A little tongue-numbing. Acidity is moderate-- there’s just enough fruity sweetness to balance. A solid sour, but there’s nothing too special about it.

bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro! pours hazy bright golden orange with a small reviving white cap, offering good retention and lacing. buttery pickles, sweetish honeyed bread, juicy citrus and peaches, tender and fresh fig meat, very oaky, gentle tartness balancing the sugars - light to medium acidity, red grapes, pepper. bright yet soft carbonation, light body - oily; balanced, tart and woody finish. nice microflora. complex brew. i’m digging this a lot.

Pours a clear golden with a medium white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of buttery dill and fruits. Taste is tart and dry, offers fruits and white wine. Puckering. Body is medium and so is carbonation. Acidity is refreshing. Overall a good sour, I thought it would be a little better (for lack of a better word) though.

Bottle (375 ml). Split with the Quebec crew. From Matt, thanks!

Appearance: Clear bright golden with a small white head and some lacing.

Aroma: Quite fruity (berries, citrus, tropical fruits, green apples) with brettanomyces, oak, vanilla, floral notes and light buttery notes that dissipates after a few minutes.

Taste: Moderately sour and quite acidic with a night bright fruitiness, bold brettanomyces presence, oak and vanilla.

Palate: Light to medium body. Medium carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Bone dry finish.

Overall: I wasn’t sure at first, but after a few minutes it has gotten a lot better. Balance is good. It’s super dry and quenching, while still being quite tasty. Acidity is high, but not over the top. Nice oak features. Good Sour!

One of top 25 of Draft mag 2014, a perfect wild ale, hay, orange and slight lemon in aroma and even more in taste, slight earthy barnyard, perfect balance for a perfect brew.

Bottle thanks to Felipe! Pours clear orange, small fizzy white head, dissipates quickly, some lacing. Aroma is very oaky, notes of Brett funk, some cherry, basement mustiness, damp leaves. Flavor has a touch of initial sweetness, drying out fast. Medium tart, puckering at first, light funkiness, notes of fruits, lemon and tons of oak. A bit earthy. Medium body, high carbonation.
