4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 SethBA (3) - Riverside, USA - JUL 25, 2009 does not count
This is a special brew by Firestone Brewing company brewed especially for The Broken Record bar in San Francisco, CA located on Geneva and Edinburgh.
It is a well received brew with a nice cloud and color pallette for a wheat beer. The flavor pallette represents zest of oranges and full body wheat taste. The cloud is as expected for a wheat beer. Not overly filtered but still a nice cloud. I’m not a wheat beer lover so you should try this beer for yourself if you have a true interest in wheat beer. I can tell you it does not taste of flavor extract as Macro wheat does. Enjoy!

Had this on tap at Yard House in Dedham, MA. Hazy gold with a thin white head. Banana, wheat notes, clove, lightly spiced with some cinnamon, that shows mostly in the finish. A little thin and watery but still pretty decent and refreshing.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 adnielsen (3755) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 10, 2012
Tap @ Yard House Denver. Pours a kind of brownish, dark golden appearance that’s more hazy than cloudy with a cream colored head. Fairly spicy, clove, a touch stale banana, sweet wheat aroma. Tangy, old banana, fairly spicy, light citrus fruity flavor. Disappointing.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 onceblind (1622) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 9, 2012
Tap at Yard House, Downtown Denver. Murky dark gold with a fluffy laceful white head. Textbook aroma of clove, wheat, banana, and yeasty dough esters. Flavor is smooth and round in body, though a little too carbonated-very prickly. Flavor is standard wheaty banana with a bit of clove and yeasty dough. Average tasting for a hefe.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ADfan (274) - Orange County, California, USA - MAR 4, 2012
On tap at Claimjumper. It has a hazy yellow color in the glass with a mild aroma of fruit. Taste has citrus with some carbonation. Very average hef, maybe I should have put an orange in it.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 batneil (40) - - JAN 8, 2012
Good quality wheat beer, sold as House Hefeweizen in Yard House. A little fruity, quite fizzy. Cloudy yellow colour.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 JohnnyJ (3044) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 12, 2011
Draft. Glowing golden orange, very hazy, with creamy white head. Strongly flavored of banana, some wheat, sweetness, light on the spicy yeast. Overall I thought it was a good hefe, I just don’t like the style.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 bu11zeye (10165) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - NOV 1, 2011
(Draught) Pours a cloudy maize body with a medium white head. Aroma of orange, bread, and banana. Flavor of banana, citrus, bread, vanilla, and clove with a soft mouthfeel.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Bart (2512) - Brussels, BELGIUM - SEP 2, 2011
Hazy darker blond coloured beer with almost no carbonation. Very short white head. Wheaty short fruity hinted aroma. Medium wheaty touched palate. Finish is light bitter, dry sweet with a short banana fruity dry hint. Not bad.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BucannonXC5 (330) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 23, 2011
UPDATED: OCT 21, 2011 Poured from tap into a pint glass at the Yard House in San Diego, Calif. Color was murky and light brown. Lots of lacing left after the pour.
Wheat and grain dominated the smell. Also banana spices, some citrus and lemon.
First tastes were orange and banana, followed by a mix of spices. Lots of flavors.
Good mouthfeel throughout, but initial taste was the best. Plenty of flavors. Mild to high carbonation.
I don’t think it was good as Firestone’s original hefe, but I’d have to taste that again. Happy to find out that Firestone is making Yard House’s house beer.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dogbrick (4837) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 21, 2011
Sample at the Yard House in Vegas (as Yard House Hefeweizen). This beer is a hazed yellow color with a thin white head that recedes to an outer ring quickly. Short strings of lace. Aroma of wheat, bananas and malt. Light body with flavors of bready malt, wheat, bananas and oranges. The finish is clean and fruity with a short wheaty aftertaste. Decent overall.
