3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Cicero’s in St Louis
Pours hazy orange hue with barely any head. Glass served was not clean. Nose is huge vanilla massive woody notes. Flavors of woody vanilla toasted oak and massive alcohol heat. Body is somewhat lite considering the abv. Damn this is a struggle to drink at times. More barrel age and maybe more age overall may do this beer well.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap into a snifter showing well filtered golden yellow with sparse white foam.
The nose shows strong bourbon notes - smoke and oak.
The palate is full bodied with no carbonation. Lightly sweet with flavors of corn forward bourbon and oak in the background. Malts seem to clash with these flavors. But there is practically no alcoholic spice despite the ABV.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Half Pint from super deli Mart Vintage 2015. Nice light Amber color and really complex taste. Little sugar and the alcohol is a bit more apparent. Really great but maybe not as super complex as other other barleywines that are around.
