UPDATED: JUN 27, 2006 This one came to me in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright caramel color with a very creamy medium sized yellowish head. The aroma is strong with grapefruity hops. There is a strong grapefruit flavor with light sweet malts underneath. The balance is not too bad but the hops really dominate. Still not as good as the Double Barrell.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2011 Medium gold and orange. Light hop nose, woody, nutty, buttery, fresh earthy hops. Solid bitterness, a good IPA.

Firestone had a pretty good take on a pale ale. Unfortunately this is supposed to be an INDIA pale ale. Pretty weak flavor and aroma for an IPA. Tasted side by side with the pale ale and I couldn't tell the difference.

Tap @ Bistro 6th Annual IPA Festival (August 9, 2003). Clear amber color with a smooth bitter sweet fruity flavor. Dry finish with a hop aftertaste.

Medium orange color. Large white foamy head. Aroma is grapefruity and floral. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are nutty and slightly sweet. Hops are grapefruity and piney. A nicely balanced IPA. Slightly more fruity than bitter. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Reddish golden ale, like many American IPAs. I am planning to be pleased. Nose speaks of hops and malt. Mouth like an ale. This is a good, hoppy malty beer with a good bitter finish. Citrus American bite, not to the levels I have come to expect from an IPA. Pleasant and easy to drink.

Hoppy, fruity aroma. Very nice malt flavor--graprefruit, coriander, somewhat spicy, nice balace of hops. Quite smooth. A surprisingly complex IPA.
