This poured a hazy darker.golden color with a white head. Aroma was of Brett, pineapple, marshmellowy oak. Flavor similar, lightly lactic, some fruit and vanilla. Good stuff

On tap at fobab. Hazy yellow pour with a white head. Aroma of Brett, pineapple, slight vanilla. Not too overpowering. Light mouthfeel and light to medium carb.

Draft pour at fobab. I dont know what was going on with this, but it wasnt good. Best I can describe it, is a sour, that wasnt sour. Had the funk, but without the tartness, that just doesnt work. Like old sweaty socks in a gym bag.

Sour aroma and flavor but not to the point of overpowering the rest of the beer. Very dry and very refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught. Pours a slightly hazy tan color with a small white head on there. Nose is sour and fruity, with a nice bit of funk to it, and seems very fresh. Taste is slightly sour with some great farmhouse elements, and again is light and fresh. Very smooth. Me gusta.

Draft at BeerMongers, who knows when. From notes. Pours hazy gold, min ring of white head. Aroma full on vinegar (like, straight white - no, maybe cider. Still, something out of my kitchen cupboard). Overwhelms anything else. Maybe some funk / blanket / manure beneath. Taste: lightly toasted cereal finish. Vinegar is light (surprisingly). Lemon, oak tannins, some light fruitiness; lactic. Palate: light body, soft carbonation. Overall: this is interesting - wish the nose and mouth agreed a bit bitter, and there was a bit more carbonation, but nice. 7/4/7.5/3/14.5

Tap at SB. Pours a cloudy medium amber with a loose white head and lots of stringy lace. Bright tangy nose, showing juicy orange notes along with some subtle minerally counterpoints. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Orange pith and peel on the mid palate, along with juicy sweet oranges, minerals, and subtle candied lemon as well. Crisp clean finish. Wonderful beer.

HIGHB4LL (837) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 12, 2014
On tap at World of Beer. Appearance: finger white head, light cloudy, straw color, light lacing. Aroma: floral hops, oak, light funky yeast. Palate: light body, average carbonation, bitter finish. Taste: sweet fruit into tartness with oak and floral dry hop finish. Overall, super unique, complex, but not a truly impressive beer despite this. Slightly watery and somewhat overdone. I enjoy regular Opal more.
