3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at City Beer Store in SF. Described as a "light summer ale," which didnít really do this justice. However Iíd put it more in the Belgian wit or Belgian golden ale category. Cloudy golden color with a nice white head and solid retention. Aroma is pale malt, yeast, light fruits, and a little funk. Flavor is more of the same, with a little honey and fruity esters. Really light and refreshing on the palate. An ideal summer beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2014 Tap at Sacramento Brewing Company. Hazy golden color with a foamy white head. Definite aromas of sour and fruit. Full bodied with mild carbonation. Flavor is mildly Bretty with light stone fruit. Really rather peachy. Finish has a metallic note, but mild funk is the key note. Laced a bit. Very refreshing. Compares more than favorably to Ommegang Bier de Mars. Love saisons.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap @ the Hopmonk Tavern. Hazy light golden with a one finger white head, fading to a thick ring and tattered film. Aroma was fairly faint, so I did flavor first. Flavor has a bit of orange rind and zest, as well as some light yeast andherbal hoppiness. There seems to be a bit of diacetyl as well, which takes away from the snappiness that I think a saison should have. Once this warmed, an aroma did emerge! Mainly brighter citrus than the flavor had, with a little bit of lemon and grass. Semi-dry finish, minimum bitterness. Low carbonation with a light to moderate body. Was hoping for more from this.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
FoBAB. Cloudy golden color with small white head. Aroma is spicey, peppery and yeasty, dry. Flavor is much the same but is at the same time off-putting with a sweeter fruity flavor and some hop background. Medium to light body with a nice fizzy carbonation. This is nice but at the same time I donít know what to think about it.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ the Liars’ Club - Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Light lacing. Aroma is light esters and spice. Flavor is more of the same. This beer really comes around as it warms up. Quite spicey (cloves and pepper). Light to medium body. Pretty smooth. A pretty good beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at the Toronado SF. Not a bad little beer. Bartender was right, this is a saison. Very good little session beer, could drink this all day. Not bad.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2009 Draught at the brewery tasting room. Hazy gold with a creamy white head. Wheat malt and herbal spice aroma. Duusty, doughy yeast, wheat tanginess. Pretty dry and refreshing, a bit fruity with lightly biter herbal hops in the finish. Light bodied, but still plenty of body considering the abv. Snappy carbonation. The wheat character is hight, with just a bit of farmhouse yeast influence, but overall a good summer quaffer. I could definitely session this one. (3.4)
rerate: At the brewery again. This year it seems to be smoother and fruitier with more spice as well. A very nice, very drinkable saison.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at San Diego Brewing Company. Aromas of yeast and some citrus. Touches of spice come out more in the flavor. Actually kinda boring for a style I usually like.
