| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Oct 20, 2009 Enjoyed on tap at Papago. Poured medium golden color with thin white head. Nose was very clean with a whiff of malt. Palate had the malt focus as well, with a sweet oak sort of dryness in the background. Overall though it was still somewhat light bodied and easy drinking.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 31, 2009 On tap. Pours with a white head and a clear amber-orange body. Full retention from the head and very nice lace. Aroma of caramel and toast. Not much else. Tastes is grain, and bone dry. Super attenuated. Dry bread, caramel. Very clean and tasty for the style, although a tad too low of FG. Lively bubbles. Dry, really dry. nbutler11 (779), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 1, 2009 On tap at Blue Palms. Pours a dark straw color with a trim off-white head. Smells of caramel, malt, and fall pie spices. Tastes much the same, but with a really noticable amount of water. Yawn. LtDan (538), Los Angeles County, California, USA

Aroma: Slightly sweet malts and nothing more.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 20, 2009 Bright orange hue with light dissipating white ring of head. Nose is subtle bread and toast malts, light earthy grassy malts. Flavor is mostly Vienna malts with a touch of toast and caramel, lager yeast, finishes slightly sweet with a hint of euro hop bitterness. Medium body, smooth to slick texture, light carbonation. A decent Marzen that is easy drinking and toasty malted, a touch high on bitterness for the style but not unexpected from a west coast influenced lager. hellbilly (1577), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2009 10/22/2009. i got a warning when i ordered this at papago... still, i like the concept...
pale yellowy brown/golden pour with a foamy off white head.
it smells woody... green woody, earth, light spice, florals and just a hint of grain and caramel.
the palate is nearly completely dry while the flavor is the same as the aroma except it is really mild and muted... almost watered down?
i can see why people were complaining. still, i like the concept...
it is medium bodied with some creaminess coming from the carbonation... 6/3/5/3/13/3.0

Aroma of caramel, citrus and crisp malt; a touch bready. Flavor was crisp; caramel, bready and nothing all that special. Expected a bit more. tokyogoat (586), San Diego, California, USA

Nose is weak, hints of the oak, slight mildew smell.
Taste is boring, but easy drinking. hints of oak, bread, biscuit, light toffee, and wood. elihapa (1072), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Oct 28, 2009 On tap, LA Beerfest 2009. I’d wanted to try this one for some time. Color is brown, with a small head. Aroma is a homey blend of malt, earth, and caramel. The flavors start incredibly mild . . . not really what I had expected or wanted. Wood is definitely present in there. I finished my four ounces without much of an impression of this beer. Why? I’m going to reason it was underwhelming.
